There are other parties their just small and nobody votes for them. And my area the biggest party after the GOP and DNC would be the libertarians.

The Greens are quite irrelevant now; I think they were more or less absorbed by the Democrats. We also have libertarians (I voted for one last November) but they do not do much, especially when it comes to winning elections.

America seems to have surges every few years with a new third party or option (Perot, Tea Party, Green Party, Bernie Sanders) rising to prominence, but they never gain much traction.

With reference to this, I read earlier this morning that the attacks in Sri Lanka were apparently retribution for the mosque attack in New Zealand.

This one does really look like there was some kind of at least wilful inaction by the Sri Lankan government tho. Like they knew about the plans days in advance and did absolutely nothing about them.
