The Political Situation in Nicersdah leading up to the Elections on Friday
With many people homeless and displaced, the Nicersdahn people are now putting their votes up for the first time choosing on who will lead them. There are several organized groups that are running candidates and are trying to gain power in the 15 member NNC, what we call factions. Nicersdah was divided into 15 districts by the council without gerrymandering as there is no data to gerrymander with. Each district will elect one councilmember, in a system of first past the post. Some of the factions running candidates are:
The Liberal Faction (Leader: NNC Head Minister Ralengal Benatrov) Polling: 39%, ahead in 6 districts. The Liberals were the first group that founded the NNF and are led by a widely popular and likeable man. Otherwise, the Liberals are a relatively radical group calling for extremely small government and liberty on all issues, the direct opposite of the Loyalist Faction. Some of their main issues for this election are corporate growth, progress socially, and international cooperation.
The National Faction (Leader: NNC Minister for War Calmueri Trivano) Polling: 35%, ahead in 5 districts The Nationals are the faction with the most widely held beliefs among the people, yet their leader hinders their ability to expand into the populace. They were the second faction created in the NNF and have held the position as opposition leader so far and likely will continue with that. Their main issues are defence, conserving some parts of the old order, isolationism and patriotism. They have many of the same beliefs as the Loyalists, but they differ on support for the new democracy.
The Faction for the People (Leader: Felgo Bartuedo, NNC Councilmember) Polling: 12%, Ahead in 2 districts They are a social-democratic and left populist group that was founded about half way through the civil war. They claim the Liberal Faction isn't doing enough and support worker's rights and corporate regulation, as well as social progress. They are only polling as high as they are with their unpopular views because of a combination of media bias and clever campaigning and campaign spending.

Prei meas
Its that year again Every 5 years Prei Meas has a census. The last one having occurred in 2016 means that now it is time for the 2021 Census. Today Prei Meas has released the census website at www.Census.npm.web the census shall take place for the next 3 months and conclude on March 4th at which point a confirmation period will last until May 31st. The census website shall give Preimeai citizens an opportunity to answer the census online. This new census website shall go along side with the already existing census program employing vast quantities of paid and volunteer census workers to count the people of Prei Meas. The census is also important as it will decide numbers for the People's House of the Preimeai parliament for the next 5 years as well as provide crucial statistics and information for Nokor funding and recourse allocation. The additional questions asked will also help people intellectually learn about the demographics of the 3rd Nokor of Prei Meas.
Three Drunk Men Gang Up on Hotel Employees in Majabolga
A hotel employee is the victim of the beatings of three men in South Cikaretan, Majabolga Regency. The incident took place on Sunday (3/1) in the morning at the hotel where the victim worked.
South Cikaretan Sector Police Chief Commissioner Kusnadi said the perpetrators came to the workplace drunk. They insisted to be allowed to hang out in the café in the hotel.
“Initially the drunken perpetrator kept wanting to hang out in the hotel café. The hotel receptionist said he wanted to ask the General Manager for an explanation first because it was already 3.30 a.m. local time.” Said Kusnadi when confirmed, Tuesday (5/1).
The perpetrators apparently did not accept because they were told to wait. They got emotional and beat the victim.
“Because he was very drunk, he was just beaten.” said Kusnadi.
The perpetrators hit the victim’s head until he was injured. Luckily the wound was not critical.
“The wounds on the lips, on the forehead, on the head were because he was hit on the head. Not hospitalised, just minor injuries.” said Kusnadi.
The victim reported the case to the South Cikaretan Police, Majabolga. Currently the police are investigating.
Rolling Thunder Vultesian and Wellsenfailen Troops Begin Training Together

Exercise Astariaxan Bond I is getting underway in the Empire of Wellsenfail, where the nation’s heavy tracked forces are undertaking interoperability training, hosting a unit of armoured infantry from the Principate of Vultesia.

Following their customary period of leave granted over the holidays, a Vultesian battalion has arrived in the Principate’s western neighbor to be reunited with their armoured vehicles, which were sent ahead of the main body in late December; ready to conduct several weeks of training alongside the Imperial Army, Wellsenfaile's primary warfighting force.The Vultesian New Model Army’s contribution to the training comes in the form of the 4th/6th Grenadier Battalion (4/6 GREN), who are set to be paired with a regiment of Wellsenfailen main battle tanks. Over the course of a nearly month-long training package dubbed ‘Astariaxian Bond I’ the combined force will go on to conduct numerous training serials, beginning with basic ‘dry’ maneuvers, aimed at building communication, cooperation and understanding between the two participating unit before gradually escalating towards live fire, combined arms, mounted assaults on simulated enemy positions.
The Commanding Officer of the Wellsenfailen 5th Grand Regiment, one Baron Yartiski had this to say on the venture, the first of its kind between the two nations, when interviewed by the Wellsenfailen Channel 3 News :
'I wish to help everyone from my soldiers and also Vultesia's soldiers. I do hope it strengthens both of our armies and that it will foster an environment in which we can have many more training regimes and other opportunities in the future.'
Yartiski’s 5th Grand Regiment is one of the top scoring armoured units in the Wellsenfailen military. They’re equipped with the domestically produced Firebird Z main battle tank, weighing in at no less than 62 tonnes and armed with a 105mm smoothbore main gun. In comparison the Vultesians will be operating from their family of IFV Model E Infantry Fighting Vehicles, primarily the IFV(P) ‘Errant’, armed with its 40mm autocannon and capable of carrying eight fully equipped infantrymen, but also a compliment IFV(C) Emperor command vehicles and IFV(R) Elk recovery & repair variants. It's this varied capability and requirement for cooperation and reliance between the two platforms that is hoped will breed teamwork and a culture of mutual trust.
Lieutenant Colonel Constans Paulitt, senior Vultesian officer participating in the exercise and Commanding officer of the 4th/6th Grenadiers thanked the Wellsenfailens for their hospitality and went on to lay out his thoughts on the training package to the Principate’s V24 News Network:
‘Naturally the terrain and climate of Eastern Wellsenfaile is very different to that back in Vultesia in January, and rapidly acclimatising to the heat and humidity is just one of the many challenges of Astariaxian Bond for myself and my troops that will be reaped for its training benefit. Main battle tanks and armoured infantry compliment one another immensely on the battlefield and I look forward to ensuring we could fight alongside a Wellsenfailen tank regiment in a crisis scenario as well as we could any Vultesian armoured unit. Events around the globe, including Veritian military buildup and involvement in our mutual, geopolitical back-garden shows just how real the threat of armed outsider interference in Northern Astariax is, and how important it is that we all show that we can defend both our own, and one another’s national sovereignty.’
As alluded to in Lt.Col Paulitt’s brief, the exercise will be taking place on the rough and ready terrain of Wellsenfaile’s Gerstik Training Base & Proving Grounds, in the east of the nation. Gerstik is one of the Empire’s largest pieces of military real estate and comes equipped with its own transit accommodation, vehicle hangars, medical centre, sports facilities and bulk storage. It is also situated on 200 square miles of training area, complete with simulated settlements and defences, live fire zones, water features and electronic ranges.

Joint Training Between Wellsenfailen & Vultesian Armour Given the rather, ahem, biased, state of the media in the Principate itself, this is the first of many articles I'll be writing on Vultesian goings on from a neutural standpoint, so better to get all the facts across. Congressional Elections Update With the date for Congressional Elections now less then a month away, an update of polling in the provinces is here. In the Hindenburg Island Province, the Demokratische Partei is holding strong, with the Liberale Partei making little to no gains. For the Bakterland Province, polling shows that the Konservative Partei seiner Heiligkeit will most likely lose some seats to the Demokratische Partei. In West and East Langesland, the Liberale Partei is polling to gain seats in the Province, taking them from the Demokratische Partei. As for North and South Klaueland, polling shows the Demokratische Partei taking seats from the Liberale Partei. That is all for the updates at the time.

The Loyalist Faction (Lead by: Presidential Guard Romares Garganov) Polling: 9%, Leading in 2 districts The name is pretty self-explanatory. It was formed the day after the civil war and is a group of people that remain loyal to the President. Considering the true unpopularity of him under oppression that wasn't able to surface without freedom of expression, it is not that popular of a political party. It believes in the restoration of Anna Kamiltraz to the presidency as well as extreme conservatism, and a return to extreme isolationism
The Red Front and Worker's Faction (Lead by: Sir Cantariae Xanderbare) Polling: 3%, Leading in no districts Communists within the nation, extremely unpopular, with semi-revolutionary status. They believe in the abolition of public property and the dissolution of the council replaced by a new worker's council led by faction officials with revolutionary intent.
Others (Led by: Several) Polling: 2%, leading in no districts. A combination of factions ranging from the far right Silver Faction to the far left Revolutionary Faction, including the joke Parliamentary Party, which wants to split Nicersdah into 1000 districts and have 5 from each representing them as a statement on the ridiculousness of democracy and the council.

Acriaen Elections Yes, you heard that right, Acriae is holding elections as per the national leader Howard Madman (Acriaen Facoast Portesfu). Whom of which is running against (but not only) Oak Mailes (Acriaen Adbein Portesfu). The election will start on January 25th, 2021. Further news is coming later.
Imperial Delegation Arrives in Hadian After some delays, the Valcourian delegation arrived in Hadian's capital of Juche City this afternoon, before being promptly taken to meet with the nation's leader, Emperor Jon. Although uncorroborated, the meetings are likely to include discussion on formal diplomatic recognition, trade, and acknowledgement of the northern expeditions currently being undertaken by Hadian, which includes the use of Valcourian Naval Bases.
Speaking prior to the delegation's departure last night, Foreign Minister Norton was confident that 'agreements can be reached on all fronts, to the benefit of the Valcourian and Hadian peoples.'

VERSIA PLC to start building the long sought Trans-Krenyan-Tiskaiyan Highways
After the recent announcement of the project to construct a 1,250kms highway system running from the krenyan industrial town of Gorainz to the Tiskaiyan Capital of Oryshevsk.
The Project was granted to the biggest Construction of Krenya i.e the VERSIA PLC which has concluded that the project will require 6bn ACU to be finished by 2023.
As per the project, half of the cost will be paid by the krenyan government and the rest of the money will be paid by the Tiskaiyan Government.
The Road is hoped to increase and possibly flourish the trade between the two nations.
The Deal was reportedly made by the Duke who is regarded by the youngsters as "Krenya's Rising star" and was signed by the Duke and the Tiskaiyan Tsar on the 26th of Dec.
The Project will involve 12,000 workers and will be finished by Jan 2023.
Due to the economic weakness and lack of influence, riots have broken out in Siruth's capital city of Callaman. The people appear to be wanting a more centralised and expansionist government, andthe police are having difficulty holding them back
