In recent reports, the National Guard, the Laurua Police Department, and forensics have calculated until this very moment 61 dead and at least 223 injuries, 12 of which are critical. | Encessia | "Red Esako" II Encessian National News Life in Esako is on a standstill after the attacks. Two full nights of chaos and fire, quieting into a smoke filled and eerie morning. Throughout the city sirens still echo, as firefighters work to put out the few fires across the city and the police clamp down on the last pockets of lawlessness. Citizens are told to remain in their homes, and many have already been arrested who broke this law. Traffic in and out of Esako has been halted, and all forms of media are full of nothing but casualty reports and destruction reviews. The desert town stands frozen in its pocket of time, the only movement in and out being state provided humanitarian aid and response. As Esako remains in a smoldering lockdown the police had begun their hunt for those responsible. Earlier in the night Irveli fighters engaged State Police with automatic fire, numbers unknown but around two dozen attacking from alleyways and buildings. Encessian forces swiftly and quickly took down eight fighters before the engagements would retreat. Later into the morning a total of seven Irveli were arrested after extensive search, seizure, and lockdown- all attempting to flee. Two Irveli attempted to escape martial capture, and were promptly gunned down in the very street they ran down. They were used as prime examples of Encessia's zero tolerance. Five Irveli still remain in custody. All have admitted to responsibility of the attacks yet knowledge of their leader or command is still being with-held. However information extracted from their capture gave light to two planned smaller scale attacks in Samepo and Osteia, which were foiled by informed police forces, landing three more assailants into apprehension. Eight Irveli in custody, most of Urozakian origin and residency with some ties to the First Republic. Their trials are due to begin immediately- but trials that are most certainly due to end in execution. Seemingly there appears to be a break in the storm. National forces still work to heal Esako, and fix the chaos that has ensued after the attacks. Reports are finally able to uncover the full scope of the tragedies. Around four hundred dead from the initial explosive attacks in the Basilica and the sakhel administration, countless more injured or missing. Eight dead and twenty-three wounded from car bombings. Six officers dead in shootouts with Irveli, three more wounded from responding to attacks. Seven firefighters dead from responding to calls, many wounded from further collapses. The Basilica, the sakhel administration and surrounding blocks lay in rubble, the search for buried victims still continuing to this moment. Property damage rises through the roof, with widespread power outages and infrastructure damage. Many citizens are now displaced. Fires still rage throughout Esako, and damaged buildings still pose a threat to victims. Martial law recently has been lifted lightly to allow the response from all across Encessia to arrive. First Responders from as far as Potia have arrived to lend a hand, and Autek Beridze is en route to address fears and visit the affected city. Drumming back and forth bolts inside the assault rifles launched shells out at an immeasurable speed. Each flash at the end of the barrel meant another little metal chunk spat out from the tip. They were only keeping up with the irregular movements of the enemy now. Bullets still spat back and forth near them, but it was nothing compared to what they put down the range.
