 The Republic of Gassasinia | Gassasinian Travel Ban on Acriae and the Hadian Empire Although travel between the two countries and Gassasinia is very uncommon, the act nevertheless sets the Gassasinian government's view of the two countries. The travel ban does not make it a criminal act to visit Acriae and the Hadian Empire, but forbids the use of Gassasinian passports to enter the two countries, and forbids any kind of transportation - including flights or shipping - between the countries. | Kentalis | 22.55 PM (local time), Reactor 3 control room, J. W. Kazanic Nuclear powerplant, Southern Kentalis. “Decreasing power to 700.” -“Power has decreased to 550, steady now. Nestorovski and Simic talked to each other, both were under tense pressure. No one in the control room was briefed, nor prepared, for this test. It wasn’t made easy either, as some instructions were crossed out. “Power has decreased to 475, watch it Nestorovski!” Nanusevski, the overseer shouted from the back of the room. “I haven’t even touched it, it must have been the control rods!” “Then raise the control rods, I want to be finished with this within the hour.” “Sir, this is against safety procedures. Could you please note down your command?" “Power has decreased to 400, and now 350. I want these rods up, NOW!” Simic and Nestorovski raise 193 of the 211 rods, it was not their decision. Althrough they try to stabilise the power by raising the rods, it only decreases to 165 MW, not enough to conduct the test. After a while, it stabilises at 200 MW, still not enough to continue the test, but Nanusevski decided to continue with it, even though the other staff disagrees with it. 23.04 The test began, the energy generator pumps cut off and the oil generator came online, while this was happening, the water flow to the reactor halted, removing the cooling from the reactor. After that, it went quick. “What’s this?” Nestorovski asked, seeing that the power jumped from 200 to 400. “This can not be normal, try to get water back into the reactor!” Nanusevski shouted. The power jumped from 400 to 800. “Sir, we can’t! Water pumps are down” The power jumped to 1600 MW. “SCRAM THIS THING, SHUT IT DOWN!” Nanusevski said hastily, Simic ran towards the AZ-5 button and pressed it. Inside the reactor, all the control rods went back down into the reactor, but, instead of cooling it down, it continued the reaction and actually only expanded it. The temperature inside the reactor hit a critical point, all the remaining water is instantly vapourised and then it happens. At 23.04.14, 28 December 2020, A steam explosion occurs inside of unit three of the J. W. Kazanic Nuclear power plant in southern Kentalis, this explosion instantly kills 2, with one of the dead bodies being trapped inside of the reactor building. A fire spreads to other sections of the reactor. 23.11 A phone rang. “Hello, what’s going on with the plant?” “Uncertain, fire between units three and four.” “Do we need to wake up the firefighters?” “Wake up the entire officer's block, there are people inside there!” The phone hung up. “Sergant Popadic? W. Kazanic Nuclear Power Plant has exploded, with the radioactive dust being carried towards the Laurentine Gulf. The press-conference is planned to happen in 2 hours. 1.24 AM, Outside of unit three. The fire trucks arrived, while these were not the first ones to respond to the accident, their did travel a long distance. “Where are you from? I’m sure this truck is not from the local station” Someone closer to the fire shouted towards a man who just jumped out of the truck, both faces were covered in respirators. “I’m from the Military firestation in Asenevo, they’re sending anything in a thirty kilometer radius towards the plant!” The first person walks towards a fire-hose, and signs the second one to help him, while the second person is walking towards the hose, he grabs a weird stone, it looks like a smooth black mineral. “What’s this?” “I don’t know, stay off!” The first person keeps the fire hose in his hands, but after a minute, he hears screaming. He turns around and sees the second person, he has put of his respirator and one of his gloves, which shows terrible burns with the hand he grabbed the stone with. After another minute, he is carried towards one of the ambulances who arrived at the same time as the firefighters. “Alright, we need to turn out the fires there!” The officer shouted, pointing at fires on the other side of the building, after a few minutes, the fire fighters walked towards the area the officer pointed at. 5.43 AM TLDR; The fires outside of the reactor are extinguished, but some of the firefighters have developed ARS.
