The West Pacifican Vol. 16

Introduction from Kawaii

by Kawaii Wintony

Hi, my name is Kawaii! I am the region's Speaker of The House and WA minister. I also work with TWPAF and regional security. For over two years, The West Pacific has been my home, and it's my very great pleasure to welcome new nations just as I had been welcomed here all those years ago. I've been asked by our regional paper to tell you about the exciting opportunities that can be had in my departments.

As Speaker of The House, I am responsible for opening and closing the floor for voting, and also stand in as the representative of the hall of nations. The Hall of Nations is a collective of all of the region's citizens, so I represent the people of The West Pacific in our court during trials. As your WA minister, I analyze the GA and SC proposals at vote, and give my recommendation as to whether citizens should vote FOR or AGAINST, each proposal. Working in TWPAF as a First Mate, I train and lead our military along with the other officers and our Captain. It is important to me to see our military succeed in its goals, and that all of our personnel are growing from their experience in our operations.

Earlier this year, I have been made a guardian. My duties as guardian are to ensure the region remains safe from hostile invasion, and that the rules are being enforced so that we are able to maintain a certain standard. Becoming a guardian is the highest of honors that can be achieved in The West Pacific, second only to becoming a delegate. It takes no less than a year of hard work, dedication, and loyalty to The West Pacific. If you work hard and show you care about our region, you too can attain this position. It should be the goal of every citizen to their part in making our home the best it can become; those who work towards this goal are the ones who are remembered, admired, and rise to do great things.

I have nothing short of confidence in my region, and so I welcome you, both nations of new and old, home to The West Pacific.

An interview with Jonnemani

Wyvern: Could you please introduce yourself? (Just some general info)
Jonnemani: Well, I am Jonnemanni, though I prefer to be called Johny, John, or Joni. I am originally from Karma when it comes to NS, though I'm now in Osiris and TWP as well.

W: To start off, for the lesser informed, could you please describe what you've been promoting around TWP's regional discord recently?
J: The thing I have been promoting is a multi-regional project, where I create car brands/manufactories based on regions I'm in, and I make these using the game 'Automation' and a spreadsheet.

W: Why are you creating these vehicles? Is it because you simply enjoy the aspect of taking requests or some other reason? Do you have any other projects that you think you'll be pursuing and would like to share?
J: I'm creating these mostly because I enjoy creating cars, and creating lore, and I found this to combine those two with NS. I am also planning on introducing my 'Vidya' series, where I play games, sharing screenshots and status updates in the Video games channel, while having people comment, react, and influence the play through. One big game I'll be bringing over is Sims, where I'm going to have people of TWP come together with people of Osiris in one big world of NS peeps.

This here is the 1961 Karma Rigel, a city car, though this version has had its engine tuned up, and outside refitted and repainted for rallying.

This is the 1964 Osiris Rahl, a People mover inspired by the classic VW Party Bus.

This is TWPs first car, made in 1966, named the TWP Khanter, standard trim.

South East Belongs to the West

by Overthinkers

Pilers. They just keep coming.

Sometimes, when you don’t see pirates, you should be more concerned than when you do.

Members of TWPAF and Osiris’ Sekhmet Legion had been quietly sailing undercover in the waters of South East Asia for months. The founder was not the most active, and we knew it was only a matter of time before he disappeared. TWPAF Officers Benjabobaria, Kawaii, and Chervil slipped into the region unnoticed. There they stayed, plotting their next moves and waiting for the right moment to strike.

Last week, the moment came. When morning dawned, South East Asia was under Benja’s control. Natives watched helplessly as Westerners and Osirans sailed in, strengthening the hold, though there was not a fenda to be seen. The legions of The Empire of Mare Nostrum also came to join the fun. Altogether, nearly 30 invaders currently sit in the region.

He tried, at least.

The moral of this story for natives everywhere is this: Keep your founders alive, because when they CTE, we may already be there. And when we’re there, no bottle of rum nor bar of chocolate is safe.
