Organ donation is compulsory, surveillance cameras are banned, the country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry, and conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings. Crime is a major problem, probably because of the absence of a police force. ZhanLiu's national animal is the swan, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

ZhanLiu is ranked 39,241^st in the world and 11^th in BL Nations for Largest Gambling Industry, scoring 5,541.86 on the Kelly Criterion Productivity Index.
