The Queendom of V3NUS is a very large, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, democratic population of 279 million V3NUSians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 24.5%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but inefficient V3NUSian economy, worth 8.90 trillion CO²s a year, is quite specialized and led by the Trout Farming industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Information Technology, and Cheese Exports. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 31,911 CO²s, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.4 times as much as the poorest.

Crime, especially youth-related, is well under control, thanks to a capable police force. V3NUS's national animal is the Venusian Camel.
