The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 8.562 billion Pigeons are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The medium-sized, corrupt government prioritizes Defense, with Healthcare, Education, and Industry also on the agenda, while Social Policy and International Aid aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Pigeonopolis. The average income tax rate is 76.1%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Pigeononyim economy, worth a remarkable 1,519 trillion rupees a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Retail, and Book Publishing. Average income is an impressive 177,461 rupees, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The government puts forth the claim that harming young girls is wrong, the government tells its citizens to 'forgive and forget', the immigration office has an express line for people bringing cash in briefcases, and serial commas clarify the relationship between one's lackeys, the taxpayers, and kinsfolk. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Pigeonstan's national animal is the Pigeon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution, and its national religion is PIJONIEALISIM.
