The People's Republic of Korea SCR is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by President Huawei Dzialo with a fair hand, and renowned for its irreverence towards religion, punitive income tax rates, and stringent health and safety legislation. The democratic population of 3.418 billion Koreans are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, fairly diversified black market in Cheese Exports, Information Technology, Tourism, and Basket Weaving. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 14,035 Korean Won, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Badminton was recently banned due to 'unacceptable violence' inherent to the game, politicians are often seen attending regional history classes at primary schools within their constituencies, the government has declined to declare any particular religion as its 'official' one, and abortions are routinely performed in the nation's hospitals. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Korea SCR's national animal is the Tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Agnosticism.
