The Holy Empire of Getlibim is a colossal, efficient nation, ruled by Exalted Divine Emissary Empress of Halid with an iron fist, and renowned for its pith helmet sales, absence of drug laws, and spontaneously combusting cars. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, devout population of 2.54 billion Getlibim are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The relatively small, corrupt, well-organized government prioritizes Defense, although Spirituality, Administration, and Industry are also considered important, while Social Policy and Welfare aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Gek I. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 9.7%.

The powerhouse Getlib economy, worth 265 trillion hakils a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Retail industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Woodchip Exports, and Information Technology. Black market activity is frequent. Average income is an impressive 104,523 hakils, but there is a large disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 502,614 per year while the poor average 12,675, a ratio of 39.7 to 1.

Political loyalty is enforced by way of chemical addiction, waste collection professionals have been canned, it is cheaper to die in the wilderness than to survive, and truancy is as easy as clicking a camera icon. Crime is all-pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Getlibim's national animal is the Gekroach, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.
