The Republic of Fliadan is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by Ilya Dyugurov with an iron fist, and renowned for its complete lack of prisons, keen interest in outer space, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 2.934 billion Fliadanians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

Fliadan's national animal is the Panther, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.
