The Green Land of Eggtowne is a mammoth, safe nation, ruled by The Grade A Minister of Eggs with a fair hand, and renowned for its national health service, daily referendums, and smutty television. The compassionate, democratic, cheerful population of 8.999 billion Eggs are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The enormous, liberal, socially-minded, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Education, Administration, and Environment. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Egg City. The income tax rate is 100%.

The frighteningly efficient Eggy economy, worth a remarkable 2,093 trillion eggs a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is mostly made up of the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Tourism and Book Publishing. Average income is an amazing 232,682 eggs, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

No one questions why the chicken crossed the road anymore, children as young as six shock their parents by coming out of the closet, a primitive society is being eroded as its youth flock to the modern world, and discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is illegal. Crime is totally unknown. Eggtowne's national animal is the marten, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Eggtowne is ranked 310,700th in the world and 827th in Horizon for Largest Gambling Industry, scoring -34.47 on the Kelly Criterion Productivity Index.
