The medium-sized, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Administration, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 32.3%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient Code025ian economy, worth 369 trillion yen a year, is led by the Retail industry, with significant contributions from Cheese Exports, Uranium Mining, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Black market activity is notable. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 36,655 yen, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.3 times as much as the poorest.

Drunk drivers are sent to rehabilitation paid for by the government, translators have been hired to deal with the varying regional accents during national political debates, primary candidates are replaced if they fail to compliment Leader's hair, and families returning from international vacations are unable to get their children back into the country. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Code025's national animal is the black widow, which is also the nation's favorite main course.
