The Free Territory of Brevard is a massive, efficient nation, remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, irreverence towards religion, and complete lack of public education. The hard-working, democratic population of 1.608 billion Brevardians enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.

The minute government, or what there is of one, juggles the competing demands of Industry, Healthcare, and Welfare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 5.0%.

The very strong Brevardian economy, worth 78.5 trillion Dollars a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is fairly diversified and led by the Pizza Delivery industry, with significant contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Arms Manufacturing, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. Average income is 48,831 Dollars, but there is a large disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 230,461 per year while the poor average 6,134, a ratio of 37.6 to 1.

Even the most lowly council pen-pusher has the same political power as a senior minister, Brevard recently decided against having a capital city, traumatised refugees have a full bedpan shoved into their hands along with their immigration papers, and the nation was recently voted as the most stylish in Star. Crime, especially youth-related, is a major problem, probably because of the absence of a police force. Brevard's national animal is the Pitbull, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Brevard is ranked 286,128^th in the world and 2^nd in Star for Lowest Crime Rates, with 37.99 law-abiding acts per hour.
