The cynical population of 6.339 billion Acadians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The enormous, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Welfare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Nouevelle-Orleans Airbase. The average income tax rate is 70.7%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient Acadian economy, worth 288 trillion Acadian dollars a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector is dominated by the Trout Farming industry, with significant contributions from Beef-Based Agriculture, Information Technology, and Furniture Restoration. Average income is 45,506 Acadian dollars, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Saying 'Hi Guys' to a mixed gender group of people at work is a fireable offense, young girls aren't having a ball but they are enjoying themselves, kids' party bags often contain candy and e-cigarettes, and APAF Pathfinder Squadron has designated Nouevelle-Orleans Airbase as its capital city. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. APAF Pathfinder Squadron's national animal is the helicopter, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.
