The Dictatorship of Revienessia is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by Cassie East with an iron fist, and renowned for its ban on automobiles, free-roaming dinosaurs, and suspicion of poets. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 3.3 billion Reviens are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Reyridge. The average income tax rate is 74.9%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The all-consuming Revienessian economy, worth 466 trillion Akris a year, is fairly diversified and mostly comprised of black market activity, especially in Arms Manufacturing, Book Publishing, Tourism, and Furniture Restoration. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 141,233 Akris, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Mining safety laws are often more expensive than what's being mined, members of the government all have oddly similar anecdotes about their childhoods, reddish-brown is the new black, and new "Worker's Strike" laws set out who is allowed to strike a worker. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Revienessia's national animal is the Cat, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Eastern Siluca.
