The Dominion of Ordersland is a colossal, orderly nation, ruled by Governor Richter with an iron fist, and remarkable for its avowedly heterosexual populace, restrictive gun laws, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, cynical, devout population of 7.456 billion Ordertarians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The enormous, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Town of Tarnhill. The average income tax rate is 68.7%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The large but underdeveloped Ordertarian economy, worth 263 trillion Gold Pieces a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Tourism, Information Technology, and Basket Weaving. Average income is 35,333 Gold Pieces, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Clergy do their best to cover up their old tattoos, maximum security fish farms leave caged salmon pining for the fjords, politicians have literally dirty hands from their extracurricular activities, and the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ordersland's national animal is the Blackbird and its national religion is Ordertarian Christianity.
