You know I have thought of using the Office of RP to curate and promote RPs, but I don't think I'm in a position to do that quite yet. Not until I fix up some issues that I know I need to be covering but hadn't gotten to.
Gegroet allen! Greetings everyone! I'm new in the region.
The welcome email said to answer me these questions three, so here we go:
How did you hear about The Western Isles? I came across the Western Isles while looking for an rp region (with a map). I've been on nationstates for quite a while (but this account is brand new), but I've never really gotten into the role-play aspect and this looks like a great region to rp in.
What's some information about yourself (hobbies, interests, country, etc.)? I'm from Belgium (which is probably very obvious when looking at my nation). I'm really into music (mostly metal and folk music) and I play the guitar. I have a great interest in history and archaeology.
What kind of nation are you trying to make? I'm not sure yet, really. I'm just going with the flow.
I am Dormill and Stiura, your somewhat present Secretary of Roleplay and another Dutch-originated nation. If I had to make a recommendation on your map placement right now, I very much suggest you replace Agadar (who is leaving from the map) in Gael since not only am I a Dutch nation, but also both Michigonia and Blakenham also have dutch roots to their nation as well, and having you in western Gael would certainly be great to build a greater shared history.
“You can post things like what country you're from, if you're new to NationStates or to role-playing (RP), what kind of a nation you want to create, and anything else you'd like to share.”
Country: Canada Not New To NS Not New To RPing Making A Prince Edward Island Inspired Nation anyway hi how are ya
True, but I'm also sorry for a few drafts I saved for some ongoing or upcoming RPs. There was a draft for a Citizens post that I was particularly excited about, and it's somewhere in the realm of lost files now...
That sucks. We should probably all take this as an reminder to back up our files. I definitely should, since my desktop hard drive has been acting like a dying animal for the last 18 months.
And not in some old USB flash-drive (like the one I had) - use something more reliable and durable.

Oh that would be a great idea! I was actually looking to a spot in the Northern Mesder Sea, even sent a message to Vancouvia about it already, but a spot in western Gael would probably indeed be more fun.
