Question: So recently i’ve been doing some research into Outer Space in TWI. And i have some questions.

1. No (crewed) lunar landings have been made yet, but are there any in planning?

2. What are the planets called? Is TWI located in the same solar system as Earth or what?

3. Is there any sort of list on nations that have been to space?

I've been assuming we're in the same solar system as RL Earth, because otherwise, we need to do far too much worldbuilding for what we gain IC from having space programs.

That does make sense. What value do we gain from worldbuilding fictional Neptune? (or any other body besides the Moon and Mars)

The Pirates Theme Park Ride of The Tsunterlands

The Sugar-Crush! Company is a Tsunter beverage company that produces a range of non-alcoholic soft-drinks under the Sugar-Crush! Product line. Their titular product was first developed in 1952 and was heavily inspired by the traditional Tsunter drink, Tsoufí, which combines Mango, Oranges, Papaya and Passion Fruit. Sugar-Crush differs from the traditional Tsoufí due to the higher amounts of sugar (around 30 grams in the standard 12 oz serving) and by being carbonated. Originally marketed as “Tsunter-Cola”, the “Sugar-Crush!” brand identity was developed in the 1960s in order to make the drink more distinctive for an international market.

With the majority of its ingredients being sourced from the Tsunterlands (the sugar from the Southern Tsunterlands whilst the fruit comes from the Interior) the drink is produced in a concentrated from in the Tsunterlands before sold to licensed bottlers abroad who add filtered water. The bottlers then sell, distribute, and merchandise Sugar-Crush! to retail stores, restaurants, and vending machines throughout the world. It currently has three main bottling centres: [Tsunterlands, Raedlon, Gael]

The Sugar-Crush! Company currently produces seven main beverages: Sugar-Crush! Original, Fruit-Crush, Sugar-Crush! High, Sugar-Crush! Buzz, Summer-Crush!, TsunCrush! And Mango! Crush. Its products are all referred to as “Crush” in common parlance.

Production
The most popular product “Sugar-Crush! Original” from which all variants are derived contains the following ingredients. Water, Sugar, Pulp/ Juice of Mango, Pineapple, Orange, Passion Fruit, Papaya, Xanthan gum, Vitamin C, Natural Beta Carotene, Natural flavourings & Sodium Metabisulphite. A standard serving contains around 140 calories.

The exact formula of natural offerings remains a trade secret.

“Sugar-Crush! Mango” uses a similar recipe but omits all non-mango fruits whilst Summer-Crush! relies on lemon instead, and is similar in taste to lemonade.

Fruit-Crush is a sugar-free variant.

Brands
Sugar-Crush! Original
“Sugar-Crush! Original” is the company’s main and most popular product. The product is based on Tsoufí, a traditional Tsunter beverage which has been drunk at least as far back as the late 16th century. First sold in 1952 it was originally called “Bottled Tsoufí” before being rebranded as “Tsunter-Cola” for international audiences in 1954. In 1961 the company rebranded the drink (and itself) abroad as “Sugar-Crush!” for an international audience, before changing the domestic name as well in 1963. In 1992 with the launch of the zero-sugar “Fruit-Crush”, the product was again rebranded as "Sugar-Crush! Original”.

Fruit-Crush!
Fruit-Crush! is a sugar-free and low-calorie variant of the Sugar-Crush! recipe, using artificial sweeteners, saccharin and aspartame instead of sugar.

Sugar-Crush! High
Sugar-Crush! High is a variant that includes caffeine within its recipe and is often marketed as an “energy drink”. The caffeine is usually derived from Kola Nuts imported from Southern Argus. It was launched in 1975.

Sugar-Crush! Buzz
Sugar-Crush! Buzz is a variant that includes cocaine within its recipe, taking advantage of the Tsunterlands’ extremely lax drug laws. It was first launched in 2000 on the 25 year anniversary of Sugar-Crush! High. Due to differences in national drug policies is variant is naturally banned from several countries and has been a cause for controversy for the company’s reputation. Unlike other products it is only bottled in the Tsunterlands. Sugar-Crush! Buzz usually contains around 5 mg of Cocaine per standard 180 ml serving. Coca leaves from which the ingredient derives is usually grown within the Tsunterlands. The Sugar-Crush! Company does not accept any responsibility for any adverse health effects that may come from consumption of its products. The name Sugar-Crush! Buzz has also generated controversy due to “Buzz” drug epidemic in Eastern Gael.

Summer-Crush!
Summer-Crush is a limited edition variant only available from the months of June to September. Its recipe is based on lemon and the drink itself much more closely resembles standard lemonade than Tsoufí. Summer-Crush was launched in 1969 and is considered a staple cultural symbol of summer in the Tsunterlands.

TsunCrush!
TsunCrush is a variant of Sugar-Crush which can only be purchased from outlets from the fast-food chain TsunFish. Its recipe remains a trade secret kept by both companies, although both maintain that it remains close to the original formula with minor changes to adapt to TsunFish’s own business model. TsunCrush has a reputation for being of lower quality that other Sugar-Crush products, with consumers alleging that cheaper ingredients are used. It was first launched in 2010.

Mango-Crush!
Mango-Crush is a variant of Sugar-Crush whose recipe is based primarily on mango rather than the mixed fruits that the main product uses. Mango-Crush arosed based on the 2004 Fruit-Fight marketing event where Sugar-Crush released a series of limited edition variants each based on different fruits and promised to make the most popular variant a permanent product. Mango-Crush! was the victor of this event.

Geographic Spread
The Sugar-Crush! Company commits to only purchasing its “natural” from within the Tsunterlands. Its suppliers include sugar plantations in the southern Tsunterlands and fruit farms from within the Tsunter interior.
It produces its Concentrate at its main plant in Fort Sapli, where it also maintains a bottling plant that supplies most of its corporate purchasers within Argus.

The Sugar-Crush! Company also maintains a bottling plant in X, X which supplies its customers in Gael and the Southern Sea and in X,X which supplies its customers in Raedlon and the Mesder.

Controversies
Falsifying Health Benefits
During the 1980s, The Sugar-Crush! Company marketed its products as properties beneficial to the growth of children, due to the high quantities of fruit in its products. It based these claims on a 1981 scientific study into the impact of drinking Sugar-Crush had on children that the company itself funded. An investigation by The Ba Bārossa Independent Newspaper later found that the company had falsified the results of this study in order to promote their products. A later scientific study stated that due to the high-levels of sugar within Sugar-Crush! drinks, child should consume the products in moderation.

Relations with Corsairos
In 2013 an investigation by the Smuggling Enforcement Agency found that at least five major coca leaf farms that were listed as suppliers for Sugar-Crush! Buzz were in fact supplying Corsairio drug rings who were exporting Cocaine to countries where it is a controlled substance. Sugar-Crush! maintains they had no knowledge of this.

Allegations of Slave Labour.
Multiple Maurican Rights organisations have asserted that during the 1980s imprisoned supporters of the Maurican separatist movement were used as slave labour in one of Sugar-Crush! plantations in the Southern Tsunterlands. Sugar-Crush has repeatedly denied these claims. In 2004, a class-action lawsuit was brought against Sugar-Crush for these allegations by forty-two Tsunter-Mauricans. The case was settled out of court with Sugar-Crush! paying each plaintiff 250,000 IAD.

Involvement in the death of Bellāra Mannan MP
Bellāra Mannān (1951-1999) was a Tsunter politician who sat in the Chamber of Representatives as an member of the now defunct Popular Democrat party. During the late 1990s she campaigned for the implementation of a sugar tax within the Tsunterlands, citing a number of reports into growing child obesity within the country. On the 23rd of May 1999 she was founded dead in her bathroom of her apartment, her death being ruled a suicide. In 2009 Corsairio hitman Davam Chêrryān confessed to her murder as part of a plea deal following his arrest and claimed he had been contracted to carry the killing by Sugar-Crush!. Following an investigation by the Ba Bārossa Constabulary, Sugar-Crush! were ordered by court to issue an official apology for Mannān’s death to her family.

New soft drink company. Looking for locations for bottling plants in Gael/Southern Seas and Raedlon/Mesder. Ideal location would have cheap labour and low workers rights.
