May 26, 1913. All across the United States. Federal forces have remained in a stalemate with the New Confederacy. While the New Confederacy is blockaded by the Russians, small amounts of blockade runners as well as the intense agriculture of the south allow the New Confederacy to stave off the starvation and lack of supplies for longer than would normally be possible. In Richmond, George Carter watches as the Army of Northern Virginia defends from an attack by a combined force of the Maryland National Guard as well as small amounts of Russian volunteers. With the time afforded by the stalemate, the New Confederacy has built up defenses outside of Richmond which the AoNV used to repel the National Guard. They then began moving out from Richmond and are nearing Arlington. On the Louisiana-Mississippi border, Confederate forces suffer moderate casualties but still manage to hold out. In Tennessee, the Illinois and Ohio National Guard units are marching through the state alongside the 11th Infantry Division which has managed to reform and remain loyal to the Federal government. However, multiple divisions of infantry have defected to the Confederates, such as the 31st 'Dixie Division' and the 36th 'Texas Division.'
(I forgot to do this yesterday , pretend like it happened in 1913 and not 1912)
International event
The sinking of the Titanic
The event occurred at 11.40pm on 15 April 1913 (if you want irl dates just smack it down a year) the British passenger ship struck an iceberg and sank into the North Atlantic Ocean. A total of 1523 people perished at sea there were only 705 survivors on the "unsinkable" ship.
People all around the world are shook, and scared to go on ships.
June 14, 1913. Just outside of Nashville, Tennessee. The Illinois National Guard and the 11th Infantry Division have arrived just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, where they have encountered the Tennessee National Guard, who has defected to the NCSA, and numerous NCSA militias. The 11th Infantry Division begins their attack on the New Confederate forces, being strengthened by the German volunteers who arrived a few weeks earlier. The New Confederacy suffers heavy casualties, and they are soon forced to retreat out of the state entirely. The Illinois National Guard surges forward into Alabama, and they begin capturing the various cities and cutting off the New Confederates in Mississippi. Alarmed by the sudden encirclement, the Mississippi National Guard and 36th 'Texas Division' turn some of their forces away from Mississippi in an attempt to break the encirclement. The weakened defenses along the Mississippi River allow the Texas National Guard to begin an offensive in Mississippi. A few days later, the Mississippi National Guard and the 36th 'Texas Division' surrender to Federal forces. Back in Richmond, the White League government of the New Confederacy are in a panic, as it seems to be a mock recreation of their defeat in 1865. In the morning on June 26, 1913, George Carter is found dead in his office in Richmond. He is believed to have shot himself through the temple with a Colt 1911. The Army of Northern Virginia begin to desert in large numbers, which allows the Maryland National Guard to begin tightening the noose around Richmond. By the end of the month of June, the boys in khaki are close enough to see the Stars and Bars flying over Richmond. If they have their way, that flag will be burned, and the city along with it...
