The audience erupts into cheers and praises. They all raise their right arms with their fingers straightened, pointing out in the air in salute.

One of her aides speaks up, "Emperor Riku was a better leader than you'll ever be, he literally saved the worl-" Suddenly the man is cut off as Keiko plunges her katana straight through the man's chest, killing him instantly. His blood spills out onto the floor below as his body hits the ground with a loud thud. The other aides simply gasp. "Now anyone else got something stupid to say?" She says angrily, splotches of blood still covering her face. "I don't want to hear any more praises of this Riku guy, his actions threaten to undermine my regime! Furthermore, I want his achievements to be downplayed in future public meetings, understood?" Her assistants nod their heads in agreement. "Fantastic!" She says while licking the excess blood off her katana. "Now if you all excuse me, I have other plans to attend to..." She smiles while entering an office room with the words, "State Biology Department" inscribed above the doorframe. "Welcome back to the lab, Keiko!" Says a tall man wearing a white lab coat decorated by a pin with an eerily familiar logo, a red and white umbrella.

Jingliu's origins can be traced back to when the Guoanbu was in the process of conducting human experimentation for the purposes of potentially producing elite soldiers for the CNNRA. Jingliu was born on 21 September 21XX to a Russian father and Chinese mother. Abandoned by her parents from birth, a young Jingliu bounced around foster homes and adoption centres until she was around four years old, when the then-Chairman of the Guoanbu, a man by the name of Ruko, adopted her into the « ZE » metahuman program and made her a test subject. During her fourteen years as a test subject. Jingliu endured horrific torture and experimentation constantly. She was placed in competition with other test subjects, and was under constant surveillance by the leaders of the experiment. During that time, her only friend was a girl named Mei, the daughter of one of the administrators of the Guoanbu. While growing to be strong and capable, Jingliu also became reserved, cold, and deeply distrustful of anyone other than her two best friends, Mei and another girl named Bronya. After being deemed a success in experimentation, she was released from testing at the age of 18 and was enrolled in Shanghai National University, working for an agency named « Herrscher » that brought elite superhuman soldiers together to fulfill various different missions to achieve goals of the Inter-national Peace Corporation, based in nearby Suzhou.
