If you think you might have depression, you should probably make an appointment to see your doctor and try to get a referral to a psychologist. Online help isn’t an ideal substitute (and people on here are very unsuited to providing that help) but the forum does maintain a list of crisis lines you can contact, some of which might be able to offer advice or assistance: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=285075

Ok thanks but I’m also pretty young still so telling my parents would be awkward enough even if they did believe me

I'm going to assume you don't live in a walkable/ high frequency public transport area. Because else you could go yourself to the doctor. In the Netherlands, all first line medical cost (like family doctor, er, hospital visits) are free of charge for children till 18 years.
Still, you can find help and support online.

You could try to go for walks, make friends and chat with family/ friends/ fellow sufferers (really don't know how to translate "lotgenoten" differently)

I live in Houston so we have some decent public transportation it’s just my parents would never believe me if I told them I had chronic depression, they would think I’m delusional if I said that. I told them about my sleep issues for 8 years and when I finally managed to make them react, they just said I was lying and I was not happy also goes to show how little trust my parents have in me

More than that, overtraining, fasting, undersleeping, and dehydrating themselves simultaneously could be fatal. Overtraining strains the heart and muscles, risking permanent damage. Undersleeping could worsen those strains, and all that calorie consumption with no intake could cause starvation. My biggest concern would be the dehydration.

Yep, I have MDD.

If you've had symptoms somewhat regularly for two weeks or longer, in absence of other possible causes (grief, seasonal affective disorder, etc), then I would suggest you speak to a professional.

Well here’s the thing, I looked at symptoms of chronic depression, and one of them was being really tired during day and not getting any sleep at night, and that’s definitely something I have. But I’ve also had it since I was 3
