Do you have a favorite teacher that you have had in your life? What made them a favorite teacher of yours and do they inspire you in any way?

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Are there any teachers, from ones in the past to now, even outside of traditional education such as sports instructors, or even your parents that you value because of the role they played in your life in educating you from the subject material learned to indirect lessons? Tell us about them and what good they did, but keep private details such as the teacher's names to yourself! And no, your answer doesn't have to be as long-winded as mine.
