The Third Empire of Eldamar of Fiercewood | // Eldamar || Eldamaranyë || Eglamaranarth \\ A N I L L I E L D A L I Ë Second Conference on Varya
[ 71st Valian Cycle, 27th Year of Elron | 11 September 2001 Kalranian ] _______________ With the success of the first conference in Kristreyri, Eldamari diplomats have moved to initiate a second conference with Laurentiean leaders to solidify the agreements made in the first. The stunning diplomatic victory championed by Ambassadors Voronando and Aranelion has led to no small amount of speculation that either ambassador will rise to become the future Secretary of State, not to mention heaps of praise from moderate politicians and citizens. Still, the poltical scene is rife with intrigue in the vaunted halls of the Nórëa Combë as rivaling sides of the political spectrum claw for greater influence to enforce their own agendas. Per usual, the nationalist coalition has been advocating for stricter resolutions to benefit the displaced elven peoples while the Govannists support the easing of tensions. The Department of Foreign Affairs has now reached out to their counterparts in Laurentiea for a second conference on the matter of the subject. The proposed location is the city of Orleans within the proposed Joint Control Zone. A tour of the region has also been proposed as a part of diplomatic proceedings, as it is expected the future joint regent, Duke Eldandil of Varya (Sindarin: Eldandil di Varya), will join in proceedings and wishes to visit the future lands over which he will be ruling. It now stands for the Laurentiean king and his ministers to make good on their promises from a few months past, lest the armies of Eldamar be mobilized once more. Honalulu, Sauvaki | RP: The Final Straw I | Government of Honalulu has had enough with the rampant military buildup the Otykens have been doing around the border and within their home territory. DoD had informed that the missile bays within the drones were clearly for anti-vehicle measures and not against militias or infantry. Highlighting that it is plausible that the Otyken’s were planning for a rapid attack on either Honalulu Military Vehicles, Static Defenses, or fortified positions. 2 more Batallions were deployed onto the borders and the Airforce kept at ready. The navy has also been mobilized to protect the maritime coasts and EEZ of Honalulu. Eventually Prime Minister Kaai has issued a statement to Otyken to withdraw its assets or lower it from the border. Along with removing their drones that are equipped with missiles from Honalulu Airspace. As she has threatened to put tariffs on Otyken Goods or stop trade with them once again.

The Directorial Republic of Midribbonia | <RP> Way to finish a century, part 2 Vladimir Vekov, the man behind the fire in the National Archive, was the last descendant of an ancient sorcerers' dynasty. His great great grandmother was the author of the "Arte Naturae Bellica" - a comprehensive study of the magical forces and their manifestations in the real world. Hidden deep inside the book was the section Vladimir needed, reading "Breath of Life". The man took a pile of clay, shaping it into a humanoid form. The humanoid had to have carvings and markings, imitating blood vessels, as well as a heart - small gemstone or anything to remember a person for would be sufficient. After hours of maticuluous sculpting, Vladimir was finished. The final step was to give the "breath of life" itself. He took out a ceremonial dagger - a family relic, by the looks of it, as it seemed more like a jewelry masterpiece than a weapon. Cutting himself and pouring 7 drops of blood onto the clay doll through the channels in the dagger, the man said "Vek frama, mihnak niva". After uttering the words, Vladimir collapsed on the floor, just as the clay golem twitched slightly. He sacrificed himself for the future of his family, calling up on someone wiser, someone more powerful, someone who never dies. Days later, a mysterious figure had been spotted, wandering around Hermanburg and preaching to people about the glory that they had rejected. The speeches about regaining an ancient power, making amends to the past and becoming a part of the future were certainly enticing to those most vulnerable - the poor and the insane. As weeks went by, a faceless preacher gathered a small following of those mesmerised by their sermons. Ultimately, they got what they wanted, as they had been consumed whole by the preacher, swallowed through a black hole in their chest, usually hidden under a green cape. A sudden disappearance of more than a dozen of people in the capital got the headlines of national newspapers and TV channels, yet the investigation struggled to find any traces of the missing people - it was almost like their entire lives had gone away with them. The killer draped in green had only started its hunt.

With the growing capacity of the Eldamarin Armed Forces and Department of Foreign Affairs in elfpower, technology, and general political will, an expedition to the Gravelands in search of these lost elven brethren has been commissioned. Led by the esteemed naval captain Ninthalor, a staff and security detail of 456 has been assigned to the expedition. This detail includes diplomatic staff from the DFA, cartographers from several universities and DFA, mages specialized in a wide variety of magics, and a small detachment of marines. Intercontinental communication will be handled by a crack team of mages while guidance will be handled through the combined efforts of mages, cartographers, and the recently christened Ilmarë satellite navigation array. Preparations for the expedition lasted eight months months and the ship, the cruiser ENC Ollenor (NC-21), has been provisioned with two years' worth of supplies. On the 29th of September, the vessel set off from its port of Ealotesto, sailing for Eleutheria. Though little is known about the lands post-Rapture, it is hoped that some contact can be reestablished with whatever ruling party exists there and, with any luck, the Autaquendi brethren can be found once more. The Fallen Technate of Otyken | RP: Sunbaked Plutonium Sludge IX It had been several months since the beginning of this situation; Otyken had prepared an extensive support package for Kulkkistan and had it ready for covert shipment with some converted submarines at the docks. However, the intelligence agencies further evaluation seemed to indicate that the threat of war was decreasing exponentially ever since a polity had seemingly vanished from being involved in the situation. The ASI Manager has slowed down production for now... But even still, a massive build-up to protect the factories from the agitated Honolulites was at the border; at least two fighter Squadrons could be seen with a bomber squadron, quantities of drones, numerous mechanized brigades, and a shocking amount of rocketry and air defense equipment, almost as if they believed Honolulu was the one who was going to attack the precious autofacs.

Chairman/Captain Iren Yadima Divination Officer Mercaria Solei Artificer Alband Sal Sortari Abjuration Officer Helvia Tairana Assistant Divination Officer Annavie Ilvetia Twenty-one backline officers involved in intelligence and handling logistics. “There’s only five of us?” Mercaria quivered upon meeting everyone in the assembly area: the train station heading to Ingveld. They were strangely undermanned in her eyes. “What? You want to send an entire bloody army to find one person? Haven’t you realized someone might’ve just attempted that before?” Iren rolled her eyes, noting to the point that the Eclipsean Guard had tried killing Senwa before. “Wouldn’t you want to surprise that freak a little? I suppose all of us here are combat trained.” Iren took an aluminum box of cigarettes from her coat’s pockets, handing one out to Mercaria and the crew as they waited. “Any of you smoke?” Each of them shook their heads without further reply, the captain felt dejected by the team’s refusal. “More for me then.” The train was going to arrive in twenty minutes, with every second spent in silence. Yadima found herself idly fidgeting her lit cigarette, without anything to say. Strangely enough, she could feel the eyes of everyone staring at her. “What?” Iren grumbled. “Have something to say to me?” “Your vital signs are abnormal.” Abjuration Officer Helvia spoke with professionality. “Your bpm is static at twenty-five, way below the resting bpm of sixty when one’s asleep, it never changes when you speak or so. While documentation says you’ve been present since the age of the Erelim, your body doesn’t show typical signs of aging, exhaustion, wear or whatsoever.“ “Ah, I suppose you know where I came from, right?” The officers of Unit 261 shook their heads, some of their eyes were gleaming with curiosity. “Hee-hee, You see, I am the perfect socialist human being. If I was given such a frail body, how do you think our gracious Seibalath would turn out? To be torn asunder by the fascist wolves? In shackles to demons that feast on our blind faith? ” The entirety of Unit 261 was dissatisfied with her answer, judging by their downcast looks. Iren squinted her eyes at their lack of suspension of disbelief. She could feel them almost-telepathically saying that they wanted a different answer. “So hard to please, Hahaha, being skeptical is good. “ Iren paused briefly. “As a kid, I was forced to become a child soldier of the Human Worker’s League, my troop was sent out to cause disorder in Hudyaria when we got annihilated by the local guards, I alone managed to escape.” “On the verge of death, some kid came out to me, and asked if I wanted to live. Well, who doesn’t? Of Course I begged with my dear life for him to save me. The kid nursed me back to health at his mansion, must’ve been a prince, but turns out he was a flesh-devouring monster.” “W-what?” Officer Mercaria was immersed in her captain’s story. “That’s all folks, our ride’s here.” The chugging of the train steadily became audible. Artificier Alband, the Felic machine-operator of their group, stood forward. She was visibly displeased. “Captain, If I may ask so!” “What?” “What happened next?” “If you kids behave, I'll tell the rest.” Iren stuck her tongue out like a bratty child. The rest of them laughed at Alband’s failed attempt at persuasion. Soon afterwards, they stepped in the train carrying their luggages, onwards to Ingveld.
“We’ve been monitoring foreign movements, and a report came in.” Director Cynewynn of the legion’s intelligence branch barged in the Commander-in-chief’s office, Vita, who has been hunched over her desk for the past few days. Her superior gave a wordless nod to continue. “There has been news that a nation seeks to find our people, they name themselves Eldamaranye.” Director Cynewynn said with utmost excitement, raising her hands as if to praise good fortune. “Well, they could be one of those nuts wishing to wipe the impure ones out.” Commander-in-Chief Vita said without budging a look, although she didn’t necessarily think that elves would pursue such a meaningless endeavor, Vita was still cynical of their intentions. “Ma’am, that’s not true.” “Yes, it’s not true.” Vita admitted with a brief smirk on her face. “Is the Elanori with them?” “Not sure.” Cynewynn shrugged “Shoo them away” “Wh-” “Just joking, send a frigate to intercept their arrival post-haste. I’ll be meeting with them myself here, not at that ram-shackle excuse of a port we made.” In truth, Vita herself was more excited than she would have let to appear. Director Cynewynn saluted, raising her right hand to the side of the head. “It will be done, commander-in-chief!”
Upon ENC Ollenor (NC-21)’s arrival to the coast of Eleutheria, a frigate bearing the flags of Sirsensal and the Evergreen Legion would approach, just in time before any of the other warlords would’ve sabotaged their visit. The frigate invites them to dock at the port of Mor-glai, the southernmost city in Eleutheria, and to transit towards Sillisil. It bears the message in radio, spoken in common. “We are from the Kingdom of Sirsensal, under a temporary martial law by the Evergreen Legion. Our commander-in-chief, Hilmira Vinr, advises you to not continue to Tallasang if your wish is to meet our people, the Serren, for our homeland is here.”
The so-called “Incest Bloc” (of regionally aligned monarchies) indeed troubled the republic. What was the point of such detestable hostility? Was it because the free working people of the world merely wished to exist not under the banners of these pampered young masters? The Socialist Republic of Seibalath cordially invites Amberleaf into a bilateral treaty of their terms, allowing the Amberlevians to participate in the economic sector of Seibalath legally, and to station the bulk contingent of their foreign military strictly outside metropolitan borders, with a limited amount permitted as security detail. Additionally, it has placed an economic embargo on Averius for their worrying imperialist tendencies, prohibiting any form of economic arrangements that may endanger the welfare of the Republic. While in practice, Seibalath was incapable of actively enforcing such embargoes with the black-markets all around the country, this would mean citizens (and those who perform transactions with Averius) were operating outside of the law, and can be subject to harassment by both routine patrols and syndicates. The Third Empire of Averius | RP: Empire and Piracy? The exact identity of the pirates is unknown, as they bore no identifying marks and were human, the most populated species. It is known where they operate but they clearly use imperial ports due to their largely unregulated commerce and trading laws. It has been made clear that the government does not support piracy, but also that it is unwilling to stop piracy so long as the pirates do not attack or steal from ships traveling to or from the Empire.
The Udonovi Republic of Kulkkistan | RP: Choosing the Peaceful Path The situation in the region had reached a boiling point, an extremely dangerous one. Although the revolutionary leaders of Kulkkistan had promised to overcome their enemies and slay the imperialists, there was just too much at stake to participate in some sort of conflict. Therefore, the Kulkkistani government would begin a process of de-escalating the situation, repeatedly claiming that they had wanted to avoid a war with its neighbors. As time went on, the Kulkkistani government would show signs of stepping back, making very false statements that they had negotiated with the militant groups in order to force them to step back their attacks. Then, out of seemingly nowehere, the Allessian government would receive a response from the Kulkkistani government, claiming that it was ready to enter negotiations with Baltocarpathia in order to stabilize recent developments. However, although the government of Tarrokh was seeking a more peaceful resolution publicly, behind the scenes there were plans in the making that could certainly cause conflict, something Tarrokh had himself said he was "seeking to avoid". The Kulkkistani government would also happily accept the offer from Amberleaf aimed at setting up official relations. Tarrokh would also be willing to open up economic relations, as Kulkkistan's economy had been struggling in recent years due to mismanagement from the revolutionary government. RP: "Choosing" the Violent Path Although the Kulkkistani government seemed to be somewhat opening up to the idea of a peaceful resolution, this in no way meant things were taking a turn for the better. Amidst Tarrokh's public wishes for peace, a Kulkkistani civilian living in northern Kulkkistan was suddenly arrested, with his residence being raided and occupied by security forces. As it turned out, he was accused of being a Baltocarpathian spy, and promptly, executed publicly in Noshkant with hundreds of spectators. And then, a little while after the Kulkkistani government had agreed to enter into negotiations, Tarrokh would go on to accuse the monarchists of the region of "planning a large scale attack against the Kulkkistani revolutionaries within the next few weeks". However, the militant groups, unhappy with the recent developments aimed at seeking a peaceful resolution, would begin planning their next attack on Baltocarpathia. After nearly three days of indiscriminately shelling several border towns, Hazameh militants would, on October 30, 2001, launch an incursion into Baltocarpathian territory once again, this time equipped with a few drones that would attempt striking Baltocarpathian security forces. These militants would reach the outskirts of these towns, occupying several small town buildings, and this time the security forces would face resistance as the Kulkkistani militants refused to withdraw, resulting in fatal firefights within these once quaint towns. Furthermore, an attack on Baltocarpathian shipping consisting of two missiles was reported, however both missiles missed their intended targets, with the Ansouthis claiming responsibility shortly after. By the end of the day, fighting ceased as the Hazameh militants once again withdrew and proclaimed success, despite the deaths of three of their members. However, alongside the deaths of their militants, the unthinkable had happened: fatalities were reported within Baltocarpathia. Whatever happened next, and however Baltocarpathia responded, would for sure change the trajectory of the current geopolitical situation in the region. -united earth- | United Federation Of Meria | Duty, Honour, Courage The Bear Awakens | 1st Of January, 2000 AD It's been decades since the unification of the Federation in 1991. With generations of presidents to make up for it. Now, under the Winters Administration. The Federation has opened it door for the first time to the world... Albeit to much dismay of it's citizens and government... For the world is a dangerous place.. Where there is no order, only chaos, where friends and foes are unknown, where international politics is just means of exploiting one and another. Yet, for too long the Bastion Of Democracy stand idle at the faces of the evils that is running amok across the globe.... No more, for President Winters had lit the torch, no more the Federation are a Bastion Of Democracy, for today it is the Lighthouse, the Torch of Democracy. One could not imagine what the Federation could've achieved in such short time period. From the early days of it's foundation. Where it is young and inefficient, to the Cameron Administration and it's radical reforms that nearly led to the end of the Federation. Where it saw the old noble class of the member states as well the Council clashing with the young Federal Government, only to be stopped by the Federal Armed Forces to preserve what is left of the Federation. Those events strengthen the Federation ideals and set the foundation of what a noble democracy should be. Where all men are free and equal, regardless of class, gender or race. Yet, such reforms caused much chaos to the young Federation. Now, that young Federation is no more, for after the ashes of it's own revolutionary reform, reborn a nation more united, more powerful that it once were. Under the administration of President Hunt, much has changed. Long gone are the inefficient armed forces of the Federation, no longer the Navy remain a mere page on the history book. If the Camerons could be remembered as the great revolutionary mind who laid the foundation of the bureaucracy and politics of the Federation, President Hunt forms the basis of the modern Federation's Military Might. One that is not for imperialist or colonialist goals but for peace of the World, but even peace require strength to keep. And thus, the Federal Armed Forces was reborn. Now that the previous Administrations has served their terms. President Winters will now take the Cradle Of Democracy, the Bastion Of Democracy and lead it to a better tomorrow, but for better or worse... The World that is Kalrania is unpredictable and chaotic. The path of that the Federation plan to walk will be a treacherous path. __________________ LINK TO SUMMARY PAGE: https://iiwiki.us/wiki/Meria

[ Eleventh Age, 71st Valian Cycle, 27th Year of Elron | 06 November 2001 Kalranian ] _______________ Even from the coastline, the desolation of the Rapture was well apparent. Scryers were attempting to gain a clearer image of the interior before the Ollenor was intercepted by the Serren frigate. This came as quite a pleasant surprise Captain Ninthalor, who expected the lands to be in utter destitution based on previous briefings. The fact that they were able to stumble across the Altaquendi was surely divinely ordained... or perhaps just some incredible luck in his mind. A response is quickly returned in Common: "Affirmative Sirsensalian vessel. We will bring the Ollenor about and follow your lead."
As the elven cruiser is underway, a meeting is called between the leaders of the expedition, those being Captain Ninthalor, the elf in charge of the mission; Counselor Nárenis, the head of the diplomatic team; Second Lieutenant Usquo, commander of the marine platoon; and Professor Mistamë, representing the mages of the expedition. Before them are a number of outdated maps and some documents hosting descriptions of the occupants of Seibalath Cpt Ninthalor: "So these Serren, as they call themselves, they differ greatly from the people of the homeland." P. Mistamë: "As far as my scrying and research can show, yes. Their ancestors likely left Elendë far in the distant past, and as elves tend to do, they adapted quickly to their new homes. Still, it's a miracle they survived. The readings we're getting are off the charts." 2LT Usquo: "It shouldn't be that surprising. Elves can be tough bastards, even if they're edlon." C. Nárenis: "I have no doubt over their tenacity in the face of danger. What I'm worried about is their psychological well-being after suffering through a tragedy like that. No doubt their people, not to mention their leaders, will be slow to warm up to outsiders, elves or otherwise." Cpt Ninthalor: "Our job is to merely find and make contact, and how the dossier put it, we're going above and beyond entering their lands. The captain pauses for a moment. Counselor, I'll send you in with the Second Lieutenant and an entourage. Professor, don't give me that look, we need in onboard to scry the region. Without that mindmap, we're moving blind." The professor gives a pout of frustration before agreeing. P. Mistamë: "Fine. But you better bring back testimonials!" Cpt Ninthalor: "Counselor, Lieutenant, get your team assembled. I suspect they'll be waiting for us once we arrive." Aquitinia and Dze Tribes
The Commonwealth of Sodor and Seljaryssk | RP: New Tenders II After significant debate within the government, the proposed tender has been decreased, with the final order for 8 new Attack Submarines, tentatively named the Istavi'i (Barracuda) Class, 16 new Air Defence Frigates (Provisionally Type 4.58) and 6 new Landing Helicopter Docks (Provisionally named Tsiv/Mediator Class) provided in order to ensure a large and secure Naval Defence Force, as the primary interdiction force of the nation. Displacement: 6,200 Tonnes Displacement: 39,000 Tonnes Aviation facilities: Flight deck, Electromagnetic catapults (for drones), aircraft hangars below deck Displacement: 4,200 Tonnes The first commissions for each would be expected in 2003, 2005 and 2005 respectively, with hopes being that this will allow that in response for the completion of the Constrainers, the Type 4.54 can be decommissioned earlier for export and be replaced with the Type 4.58 in anti-aircraft service over the next eleven years. This rehabilitation would see a proposal for a RyM 11.3 billion loan for surveying and construction of high speed transit lines between Dakhir and Shulfiras. Proposed collateral would be Terminal 3 at the port of Shulfiras, the Cholma refinery and port complex, and/or a large tract of land adjoining the rail line north of Hasint, including a large lakeside area. The 🐜 Colony 🐜 of Amberleaf | RP | Regional Armament With Seibalath's acceptance of Amberleaf's offer, things were setup for cooperative efforts. Amberleaf sent a collection of Economic Minister's to travel to the country to plan and oversee the economic development with the promised 100 billion $ of investment. Further Minister's would occasionally visit for further collaborative efforts. Per agreement, Amberleaf would station a Brigade of 11'000 Soldier in the nation, together with some other military equipment. Since Seibalath didn't currently seem on the fringe of a conflict, the force was small in scale, and more a demonstrative act that Amberleaf was ready to defend the nation. Too in Kulkkistan Amberleaf was sending its Ministers too build political and economic relations, and help with its development. The plan was to build up a well-defended socialist democracy in the region as an Amberlevian ally. Having accepted Amberleaf to station its military in the nation, and with a conflict rising on the border, Amberleaf took to deploy. A small Division of 55'000 Soldier were transported. 50'000 Workers and 5'000 Drones, as flying troops had proven highly effective in past wars. Also deployed were 1'000 Infantry Fighting Vehicles, 50 Tanks, and 50 Fighters for the Airforce. The Division was lead by Colonel Parasild, a woman specialized in defensive and fortified warfare. Offensive warfare was not the style of her rather cautious demeanor. This was to underline that Amberleaf's military force was stationed merely for defense and deterrence. But Amberleaf officially announced the delivery of bigger forces in case of an escalation. Given recent activity, the Amberlevian military was deployed to setup defensive lines near to border between Kulkkistan and Baltocarpathia. Amberleaf officially neither encouraged nor disapproved of aggressive moves from Kulkkistan's side. To protect trade and transport of Kulkkistan Amberleaf deployed 20 Corvettes and 5 Frigates. In addition to deterring foreign military, it would also counter the recent spiking in pirate activity. - Since Kulkkistan was currently Amberleaf's only conflict zone, the military strategists assigned to the task were the only ones with duties of active conflict. Often they were joined by their colleagues who really wanted to participate in an active war. International non-interference was hard for Amberleaf's military culture. The small meetings gradually became large congregations. Finally it just became the default meeting place where military strategists, army commanders, and defense ministers went during their break. Hundreds of military women eating and yelling and taking out figurines and maps and giving their opinion to Kulkkistan's situation, and going through the motions of hundreds of simulated timelines of war with other nations getting involved, one of which ended with Fiercewood being taken over by secret underground dwarves, Meria becoming a nation of just a single angry man yelling, and Candain setting fire to every forest in the world. The Commonwealth of Sodor and Seljaryssk | RP: Minor Trolling With this news, the Sodorhvtisi’i navy would announce the deployment of a small task force, composed of Type 1.44 Anti-Aircraft (inc missiles) Destroyer VSA Kristjer Saraasala, backed up by Type 2.28 Destroyers Kiski and Litfoss, to visit the gulf of Illetanri (gulf behind the Elutheria-Cenagrad) in order to perform security duties for foreign trade in and out of the ports of northern countries, with warnings that according to the 1984 Kasti Lahe declaration of Sodorhvtisi’i shipping any individual or vessel accused of piracy falls under Sodorhvtisi’i jurisdiction when not within 5 kilometres of a certain nation’s coastline, and naval willingness to enforce such laws. In order to support operations, delegations would be dispatched to several of the islands in order to ascertain which, if any, party claimed sovereignty over them and thus whether or not such islands can be set up as a staging post for weapons systems in the long term to ensure naval security.
The Awesome Autocracy of Aquitinia | RP ~ The “Little” One In High Delaisse the hills were of greater stature than the rest of Aquitinian, and civilization was not as vibrant. In it resided Valkyries, Boreads, Winged Boars, and the ever present Harpyia, to name a few. In a lonely cave an ancient man resided, his skin practically petrified, dirt and rocks binding him to the ground, for he had not moved within the living memory of High Delaisse’s inhabitants. His singular lid had long since been sealed shut with dust, and his sense of smell was blocked entirely. Even his hearing was poor, with him barely being able to perceive the squeaking of rats, which scurried across the stone-frozen hide of his nearly buried crossed legs. A slight stirring on the giant man’s part sent the rodent swarms scurrying away to hide within piles of rusted and broken down old gear. To the giant however, this mattered not. All that mattered was the huge egg gently cradled within his arms, which he embraced as if it were a cherished treasure. While its size was special its color would have been considered ugly on the coast, being most similar in appearance to slag. Over the course of some decades the egg had begun to stir, and now its occupant seemed to be finally breaking free. The giant was keenly aware of this, and made sure to prepare for the arrival of the “little” creature. Positioning the egg in his right arm, the giant was able to smash away the blockage from his lid with his left hand, allowing his large eye to see out. Despite the naturally powerful vision of his kind, the long period of effective blindness left him with poor vision, for the time being. As the egg was broken open, and its occupant pushed out of it, the giant’s huge free left hand moved down to cradle the creature, while his right hand shoved the worm’s discarded egg away. Using the same hand to scoop up a heap of weapons, the giant held up the heap before the smaller creature. “Eat well little worm, long have I awaited your hatching. Soon you will be granted a name, but for now you need only nurture,” spoke the Colossus, in a soothing tone, as he cradled the creature within his hand. While she was being cradled the smaller creature hardly seemed to pay the giant any heed, instead focusing on scarfing down the mangled heap of arms from a foregone age. The creature had just hatched, and was as of yet unconcerned by any speech, for she knew none. Rapid consumption left the worm over-bloated, and she was forced to wretch up some of her, now molten, meal back onto the lap what could be considered to be her “father”. Afterwards, the newly hatched being soon drifted asleep, without a concern in the world. For now her world was no larger than the lap of the Colossus and the cavern within which he sat patiently.
