Colonization V

While documenting the expanse of space to the galactic south of known Dominate claims, an explorator fleet has happened upon a small xenos empire with space travel capabilities; though they lack faster-than-light drives of any sort, they have expanded to all seven planets within their own star system. The remaining planets and planetoids captured in this latest wave consist mostly of dead worlds, with a handful suited to mining and agriculture.

Ikrusia

Colonization

the Moses AI has taken it upon itself to colonize other galaxies, developing its own science ship separate of the Union to survey the outer galaxies. Upon doing so, the people onboard the ship uncover huge derelict ship ruins, labeled ORCA. Upon examination of the interior, the researchers find skeletons littering the decompressed corridors, many with large holes in where their rib cages would be. The "Old Republic Colonization Association" is most certainly a product of the humans of Korolis' time. The researchers locate a rough map of the corporation's extent, and share this map with Moses. Moses orders the expansion of the Union into these systems.

The planets in these systems, like the old Korolkian system, are populated by a majority of humans and a minority of aliens. On the Korolkian planets, these Xenos were killed, but here they're still in society. These planets are integrated into the Union on the promise of autonomy and strength. Through negotiations and quick coups, all the planets are quickly subjugated. This process is repeated with the other nearby systems, capturing 93 planets and 60 moons overall, going from a single system to 14 systems, increasing the size of the Union tenfold. Though the other AIs of the Korolk system are initially angered, it is believed by the AIs that this expansion is for the greater good of rebuilding the fallen Humanity.

Development II

Though the xenos were apprehensive of the Dominate's first envoys, the induction process has begun moving along much more smoothly after several representatives from the Dominate's pre-existing alien population volunteered to assist in the negotiations. Now, with proof that the Dominate is not simply a colonialist empire that subjugates all life different from their own primary species, the natives - a mineral-based race that called themselves the flarg - are more than happy to share several of their shipbuilding techniques with the Mechanicum in exchange for FTL drives. While most of it is written off as unimportant in the eyes of the Arch-magi, the supermaterial dubbed 'flarganite' is of note, as preliminary tests show that the substance is an order of magnitude stronger than the adamantium used for the armored prows of the Dominate's larger voidships. Though it is costly, some more ambitious magi and shipbuilders have begun designing new prows utilizing this flarganite, to vastly improve the power and lethality of the Navy.

Shortly after the prior colonization in galactic east of the former frontiers of the Union's space subsequently the next expansion focused its efforts towards the immediate north for its colonization efforts with even more planets and moons being found that are able to be colonized with only minor transforming needed to ensure their would be enough forests specific areas for more large creatures to inhabit that could be domesticated. Thus, began settling 100 more planets and Moons. However, much like the prior colonization efforts these colonies are very small in population and given proper tech to expand at a rate which is completely under control to ensure their is no massive ecological damage. Which meant that while they just like the other recent expositions in the previous colonial effort these planets will not be provinces for a long time but it will most defiantly will become ones in time when they sustain a sufficient population.

Colonization 3
The Next set of colonization is focused on the galactic South relative to the Union in an area that has around a 100 habitual moons for uninhabitable planets in drifting space while its 100 habitable planets are more in it southwest. While this seen limited use of teraforming this mostly was using planets that was able to work well for settlement without much need to change the environment.

The Velrokinate of Kinmoon

EXPANSION 2

Kinmoon continues its expansion, utilizing several new worlds for factory use and the breaking down of materials. The rest are given to the local regional governments for self use, such as new worlds for colonists, or just junk reserves.

The implications of what the posthuman amalgam… had said was as perplexing as it was intriguing. Indeed they could not find Earth - or Terra, as it was also known, hence the Saharians themselves self-referencing as Terrans. Have these people been isolated from the rest of the Galaxy for so long as to believe they are the only descendants of Earth?

Or did they come from somewhere else entirely..?

“The Sol system - including Terra - were obliterated approximately three millennia ago. Ever since then, Humanity has remained scattered across the Galaxy. Only in a few places, such as the Saharian Republic, does Humanity retain a strong foothold. All of that said, it is…”

He did his best to avoid glaring at the posthuman abomination. “...relieving to see that there’s more of mankind in the Galaxy than we originally thought.”

Not far from the Zendikar system, a Republic warship would seek shelter. Pursued by a small UE fleet, the SRS Resolute made a last-ditch effort to escape. A mid-sized world, completely engulfed in a thick layer of fog which clung to the lower atmosphere, completely obscuring the surface. Forcing a descent, the ship careens through the atmosphere, its hull burning like a shooting star as it sliced through the upper atmosphere like a knife…

And there the battlecruiser sat, lingering in the thick blanket of clouds; motionless, without noise. As soon as it arrived it endeavored to leave - before being pushed back down into the miasma of clouds, forbidden by some unknown force from leaving. Again and again it seemed to try, like a bird with wetted wings trying to take flight. Yet the forces of the world denied them their escape.

These new humans had a part to play.

not long after they arrive, they'd hear a loud roar and from the left, a giant dragon appears and attempts to grab the top of the ship with it's claws. Thunder would also be heard kilometers away.

“Hard to Starboard, engines to full! Get us some distance!” The captain’s shout was clearly audible even over the klaxons on the bridge.

An officer to his side immediately reports. “It’s a creature of some kind, sir! Colossal, at least five kilometers long!”

The Captain finally gives the order to retaliate. “Weapons stations, fire at will!”

The Republic battlecruiser immediately pulled hard to its right, the incinerating blue flame of its powerful engines coming to life as it rocketed away. As it did so, turbolaser fire boomed from the ship’s few rearward batteries, sending flashes of deep crimson, like bolts of fire, into the dragon’s hide.

The Arch-magos lets off a short burst of static before shuffling away, mechanical tentacles on his back shaking as if in agitation; Feversham is noticeably shaken by casual mention of Terra's destruction, but perseveres.

"Three thousand years? You must be mistaken, we have records from mere centuries ago, stretching back to the millenia of Old Night. This very cruiser was produced at Mars only two millenia past."

Alypias whirls around, blurting out something in High Gothic - obviously not meant for the Saharian to understand - but if he had some sort of translator with him, loaded with the Gothic lexicon, he would hear snippets in regards to the 'Master of Mankind', 'Great Crusade', 'Horus Heresy', 'Warp physics', and - most confusingly - 'multiversal shift'.

With a roar, reality splits in twain and the psychedelic glow of the Warp pulses, releasing illogical light and energy into realspace. Following on the heels of the madness come three Iwein battleships, seven Orpheus battlecruisers, twenty five Spiclyeus cruisers, ten Agathaumas light cruisers, and twenty Maniraptora frigates. The tear in reality vanishes as the sixty-five ships slide into formation, and the battlegroup slowly powers towards Isstvan V on high alert for any vessels in the vicinity.

The Velrokinate of Kinmoon

EXPANSION 3

Kinmoon finishes up their latest expansion by focusing on mostly the far western. They would acquire the planets and additional moons, readying them for colonies, and use as agricultural worlds. Most of these worlds would also contain large structures to deal with energy production and management, the large pieces of engineering would be used to supply power to incredible world spanning systems across these worlds, and additional platforms would be constructed to disperse the power.

Expansion I

As the Primarch had seen the resounding success of the colonial explorator fleets in past months, Icandros has issued an edict allowing for several more fleets to set out across Segmentum Pacificus. The first fleet to sail into the void comes across a wealth of planets ripe for agricultural production, in addition to several worlds that fit the exacting standards of the Mechanicum necessary to be transformed into forge worlds. Additionally, the flag of the Dominate is planted in the rocky surface of several dozen planetoids, where mining stations will soon supplement the realm's growing need for resources.

Douglas was wearing a universal translator. To him, it seemed that both himself and the Domini officers were out of their element when it came to explaining the severe inconsistencies in their records. Although it was admissible that Republic archives on such a distant time period were less-than-stellar, the gross claims made by the Indronian Dominate had no degree of verifiability or evidence in galactic record. The ship’s design itself, the Martian shipyards being long since gone before the Gallimimus was launched, and the unwavering certainty that Earth was destroyed only a few centuries ago was criminally unfaithful to the little knowledge that had been painstakingly preserved for millennia now.

There was something to be learned here. Something big. At worst, this could all turn out to be a serious case of the Indronian Dominate being awful record-keepers. At best, these people could very well be direct descendants from Earth itself, and be the great historical link that archivists have been searching for…

He didn’t want to interrupt their conversation, but couldn’t help eavesdropping. Sadly, they seemed to mostly throw around terms - presumably for historical events - which only raised more questions and answered none.

it ruins the dragon, however, it's momentum still let's it slam into the back half of the ship, knocking out the thrusters on that side. Even more thunder could be heard all around as if they were in a violent lightning storm.

It was an interesting and nostalgic sight - a place of such tranquility, a place for deep thought and recollection, all at the heart of a metal titan of war. There surely was a proverb for a place like this. Something about being a gardener in a war. Or was it the other way around..?

As Wilson followed the corporal, he was again surprised to see more examples of archaic design - books. Bound pieces of cloth between two plates of leathery material - it was civilized, in a laughably primitive way. Still, he could appreciate the nostalgic nature of such a thing.

After the Arch-magos finishes his small rant, he turns to Douglas, cybernetic eye whirring and noticeably telescoping outwards, before the cyborg noticeably slumps. Feversham quirks an eyebrow at this behavior, before Alypias explains to him in Gothic that the Saharian was wearing an earpiece, presumably a translator, and therefore would have heard whatever they had said - albeit with no context provided. Feversham sighs, and gives the tech-priest a small nod, as he takes center stage.

"Well, seeing as you heard us, there seems to be fairly little harm now in telling you of our origins. Four hundred years ago, we abandoned the Imperium of Man at the behest of the Primarch. We had fought for the Imperium, waging the Emperor's Great Crusades from Segmentum Solar to the far-flung reaches of the Ghoul Stars; but our fight came to an end when one of the Emperor's sons, the traitor Horus, ignited a civil war that split the galaxy in half. For reasons of our own, Primarch Icandros led us to secede from both the Imperium and from Horus' rebellion, setting off into the Warp and establishing a new realm to call our own, free from the insanity of our former homeland. Truthfully, we did not know what would become of Terra, nor of the civil war, but when the astronomers of the Mechanicum could no longer find the light of Sol, we had assumed a cataclysm had taken all of our foes from this galaxy... But Terra would only have succumbed centuries ago, not millenia."

Corporal Shadow did a double take for a second making sure she heard right "Well that is kind of an incorrect assumption from the get go I guess I will explain one part at a time. So first let me correct you on the species thing. Us Thestrals or as some others call us Bat Ponys but we really prefer the former are a subspecies of species known as ponys. There are in fact many different subspecies of ponys as well as other sapient species on our planet like Dragons and Monitors and Griffins. However, the subspecies of Ponys include well Earth Ponys, Pegasi, and Unicorns those are main ones there are also more rare subspecies like our own and the crystal ponies ohh and there were the Umbrum but we think they went extinct at somepoint, lastly there is most well impotent subspecies of ponies alicorns. As for that whole story let me get a book or two to help well explain it." She goes over to the computer device and hits a few buttons with her hoof then she uses a rag and cleans a stylus thats attached to the computer then after thats she puts it in her mouth with half of it sticking out and signs on screen. She then removes it from her mouth and cleans it again with the rag. Then the machine prints out a leather hard back book all about how Thestrals ended up in space as well as book on how they left Equestria and ended up in Griffonia which occurred before going to space. She trots backs to the Saharian and says "Well I guess we should find a place to sit as this will take a while to go through."

Without exaggeration, Douglas had no idea at all of what he was told. Nothing sounded familiar to any degree - except for the Imperium.

Could that simply be another name for the Universal Empire? Even if it was - and it had to be - nothing fit together. All he had learned was that an exchange of historical records was very much in order. Although he did want to inquire further about every little term to get a more complete picture of what the hell these people were going on about, he wasn’t a historian. All he could do was to offer a remark of uncertainty and try to move along with something more diplomatic.

“I… cannot say anything for certain, other than that we could both learn a great deal from an exchange of historical records. It seems we are both very certain of our own archives, despite the glaring conflictions. I believe the establishment of official channels with your government would go a long way in helping us learn more about one another, and the wider galaxy - should you desire.”

"I feared you would have no knowledge of the subject... It appears the woes of Old Night still afflict humanity to this day. In any case, though, I find your proposition appealing - though I must say, bringing a proper diplomat here would take some months, due to the nature of the Warp's currents. It would be far faster if we were simply to sail to Bastion; that is, if your own government would allow such a journey. The Primarch would be most pleased to speak with you, if you were able - he is not entirely fond of the slow nature of bureaucracy, and prefers to speak with official delegates himself."
