Just cause a culture has bad traits does not make it "inferior" it just has issues that need to be dealt with. We don't define American culture by the constant harassment and rape of women along with high murder rates but with the influences of other cultures merging into one. We don't define British culture with the starving of children and them holding patriotism to a genocidal regime but by Beatles and whatnot. There is a difference between the two, one is the result of some politics and the other is an orientation that comes from people's culture. Viewing cannibalism as normal is not the same as having high crime rates in society.

1. He didn't use a blanket term calling them all cannibals/primitives/pagans etc. He said he was glad the USSR removed those aspects when they did exist, and was also glad that the rest of the culture was preserved.
