Two people voted for the premise there is never a reason to shoot anyone. One has to wonder if they've ever considered what it might be like to be on the receiving end of a beating, a robbery, a rape, a lethal threat, a mass shooter, etc.

I may be liberal but I definitely don't agree with what happened.

On another note. Do we want to make a map for the region?

I was looking at the news this morning. There were protests in New York over the choking death of a man on the subway. He was harassing and assaulting others on a subway car when a US Marine took him down in a choke hold. Alas, the rowdy man continued to struggle until the choke killed him.

Even though the dead man was clearly the aggressor and had assaulted others on the subway, protestors took to the streets last night demanding the Marine be prosecuted.

Back when I was growing up, this came down to one simple rule: Don't harass or assault others lest someone beat the tar of you, maybe even punching your ticket in the process. That got me thinking about where the US is as a nation right now. I cannot help but wonder if Rome is fixing to burn again.

I'm trying to figure out where people get the idea the First Amendment allows someone to harass and even touch others to make some kind of point. And do so without penalty.

One has to wonder what is being taught in schools these days.

Been browsing my copy of the Durham report. Remember when I told you there were two standards for prosecution in this nation? One for Hillary Clinton and her supporters and another, far harsher standard for Donald Trump and his supporters?

Various states either passed or laws or are considering laws against gender modification surgery or hormonal intervention on minors. Those news stories have prompted a screaming storm of social media discussion, arguments, and all out Donnybrooks. There are people screaming that minors will commit suicide if 13 year olds are not allowed gender reassignment surgery and hormone treatment. Others are saying minors can wait for surgery, getting counseling and support until they are adults because that surgery is irreversible and the hormonal treatments can irreversibly damage the reproduction system.

An Air Force combat veteran claims the United States has an ongoing retrieval, storage and study program of alien spacecraft and alien life forms. In the whistleblower statement, David Grusch claims the technology being studied is "of exotic origin (non-human intelligence, whether extraterrestrial or unknown origin) based on the vehicle morphologies and material science testing and the possession of unique atomic arrangements and radiological signatures."[1]

The amount of food thrown away was in the news last week. Some people were protesting a Dunkin Donuts and others were protesting a buffet. Alas, there is a reason for that: Lawsuits.
