I’m in Philosophers too. Where am I not! It gets embarrassing. But different regions have different needs and others have a hand in deciding. The “no to raiders and nazis” was taken from Gay Equality. (I know this for sure.) 😊 I think we should borrow the rest of the statement from them. No to embassy collectors, yes to established relationship and common aims.

What do you think of this as an embassy policy? It’s from the region of New York.

Embassies can be established with New York in any of the following conditions:

On request with regions that have diplomatic relations with the region of New York.

On request by the founder, WA Delegate, Head of Assembly, Foreign Minister, or majority Assembly vote.*

On request by any region that fulfils the following requirements:

Is at least 3 months old

Has at least 15 nations

Has messages on the RMB newer than 30 days

Has no more than 30 embassies total

Blue Narcissus, those are excellent conditions. The one we can’t meet is number of embassies. We have way more than 30 and we’re not about to cancel the ones we have.

Regions have different needs. It’s in Gay Equality’s interest to make connections with others.

In principle though the New York conditions are admirable.

This provides quality control. We can continue relations with regions that are different to us, but not hostile to our aims or existence.

Debatable, but I'd opt for a policy against collectors who were inactive as a region as a whole, as I'd be opposed to using another region's embassy count to determine our relationship with them.

I never liked other regions using their embassy with us to push their agenda; don't want to find ourselves claiming to be inclusive, but falling short of that.

Agree. We aren’t about to shed embassies, and certainly not to please someone else.

As an educated modern person I know there’s no such thing as hell but Dante’s Inferno is cultural so that’s different. 🙂
