The Equatorial Forests of Uan aa Boa is a gargantuan, orderly nation, ruled by Adema Pula with an iron fist, and remarkable for its irreverence towards religion, suspicion of poets, and complete absence of social welfare. The compassionate, cynical, humorless population of 14.058 billion Boanis are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The relatively small, socially-minded government is effectively ruled by the Department of Environment, although Education is also considered important, while Spirituality and Defense are ignored. Bins outnumber trees in city parks, it is illegal to brush crumbs off your clothing outdoors, glamping Boanis won't sleep in a tent that doesn't include a Jacuzzi, and the government keeps introducing new foreign species to combat the previous ones it has introduced. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Uan aa Boa's national animal is the solidarity bird, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.
