The People's Republic of Korbalis is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by President Karina Zelenska with a fair hand, and notable for its irreverence towards religion, absence of drug laws, and devotion to social welfare. The compassionate, democratic population of 4.512 billion Korvalans are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The enormous, liberal, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Education, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ostrodańsk. The average income tax rate is 85.2%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Korvalan economy, worth 445 trillion krenns a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Glittering new sports stadiums adorn every city and town, pollution is on the rise along with government approvals of fracking projects, there's a lot of hot air coming from the Capitol Building, and it is popularly believed that "cheese every day keeps disaster away". Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Korbalis's national animal is the snow leopard, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.
