Assembly of Regions Councillor Elections - 1st August, 2020
With the Assembly of Region Councillor elections upcoming, and my point of making regular posts on the RMB, it's important that Africa is involved with friendly regions and active in her foreign affairs. It's also important that Africa has a say in those affairs when dealing with the Assembly of Regions, which is the purpose behind the Council of Regions; so that Africa gets a say on what's passed into law.
With the aim of reducing the problems of the last Councillor elections, I will be keeping a pool of candidates who apply for the role and are then voted on by the nations of Africa.
Our current Councillor candidates include: Floating republika srpska, a member of the Reformist Party, and myself, a member of the Green Peace Party. If you would also like to present your candidacy, please telegram Lower Nubia before the Tuesday of next week. A Poll will be started on the 29th of July and last three days, in which time Africa can choose from the applied candidates, which currently includes:

Well obviously I’m blindly voting for myself... For reasons.
Scratch that. I’m not a WA member so I can’t vote. Well, I think it’s time for a cool beer on a warm veranda.

So, how do I become a citizen and involve myself in the political practices of this region? I've read the Constitution of this region.
(OOC: Currently, there is no direct citizenship. To cast a vote, you either must be a native, be in the WA, have more influence. This is to stop puppets from influencing votes.
In the future, there will be a genuine citizenship test, more events - but currently, the admins are busy.
What you can do is join the day-to-day life of the AoR: https://discord.gg/9EfSsnu .
You can also ask to join a political party, such as the Green Peace Party, Reformist Party, United Global Democrats, Homeland League, as well as others. If you ask in the AoR server they'd be glad to give you the links to the Party discords.
Africa is currently going through a transition in terms of RP. Which should be fully up and running by Friday. Africa has events based on our calendar (including Founder's day, Election days, Remembrance day, etc..), Africa is also opening up ambassadors to regions which we wish to establish foreign relations - though you'll need to contact Mombombu or Tanzanique. All of this you're always welcome to join. There's other stuff I've missed, but currently, we're trying to organise the region a bit more.
(OOC: I'd advise you join the WA and simply don't vote in the WA, and just ignore it.

Alright. This is my puppet nation, my main nation is in another region. I'll stick around for a bit to know how things are done here before bringing in my main nation. Is that okay by you?
