The hand of God: Part 1/5

For the last 11 years, 19 people have lived inside of an asteroid far away in the oort cloud, isolated from almost all outside communications except for their monthly resupply and revision ship, which stays only for a few hours, however, that may be changing soon, as the deed they are there to complete may soon be done. The 2 supervisors and 1 lab assistant stand in the test facility, the supervisors stand behind a protective pane of glass while the research assistant places a satellite inside of a weird machine before rushing outside of the room and behind the protective glass. One of the supervisors pushes a button and the machine starts vibrating, suddenly, all the lights turn red, a few seconds later the machine explodes and breaks the protective glass, injuring the people behind it. After taking them to the hospital wing, 2 scientists enter the lab and inspect the remains of the machine, all of it is destroyed, however, none of the pieces of the satellite can be found, as if they had been sent... Elsewhere.

One of the scientists simply says: "Progress"

THE SCOPE

The Galactic RepubIlic begins their new Military Reform Programme and has spared no expense in doing so with new large advanced weapon systems being developed and fitted into their newly upgraded and improved starships with large capital vessels being equipped with state-of-the-art equipments and weaponry while smaller vessels being equipped with better and more efficient laser system.

This is an unusual activity for The Galactic RepubIlic as they have been rather pacifist and preferred to run out of any armed conflict they have brought onto themselves rather than actively participating in it, shown in the case of the Coalition War and other armed conflicts.

However this may not be long with the further heating of tension between The Wires Empire and Zaberaz Hapang as both side prepare for a seemingly inevitable armed clash between the two opposing side with the Galactic RepubIlic being neutral if war were to occur.

This has been a further escalation and a potential spill from the Island controversy of Zaberaz Hapang after they attempted to build artificial military grade island bases all across the Earth, causing outrage throughout the Galaxy with most notably being Haivon and Wires being the in the forefront of the opposition.

Meanwhile if we look at Haivon things are not looking too bright for the Galaxy either as Haivon have been also remilitarizing their nation as well and enforce strict "Prussian Discipline" onto the ranks of their military.

Millions of new recruits is facing training and exercises in the name of Haivon and the Haivonian warmachine is only warming up without any intention of slowing down, further escalating Galactic tension and potentially being one of the pawn leading up to a potential new Great Island War.
