Samandra nodded, “Exactly! Though while sometimes the intellect and knowledge of the people can’t be helped, though I do believe that free-speech and free-press can help with that, able to share individual ideas and all that, some of the issues with Democracy can be addressed, first of all polarization, or making it an ‘us versus them’ thing, I feel the best way to counter that is a Parliamentary Republic. A Parliment is going to be full of many different political parties of many different beliefs, with none of them having an overwhelming majority. This creates a need for compromise in order to get anything to happen. But democracies Achilles heel will always be its dependence on its people, that’s by design.” She said sitting forward

“I also agree that democracy isn’t for every country and every situation. However I do believe that any government should prioritize its people; first in health and education, making sure healthcare and education is accessible to all of your citizens. Secondly is opportunity, government should promote a free-market, enabling citizens to make money there own way and keep the economy going. The more citizens with jobs making stuff, the more money there is for everyone. And thirdly is the protection of those opportunities, maintaining a strong military to protect the rights and opportunities of it’s citizens is vital for any government. I mostly believe that in following those ideals, most countries will shift towards being somewhat democratic. But I also realize that it’s only my ideal government and that in any government system greed and power is the name of the game.” She says.

Golgoth let out a small smile, “So… you do like it?” She asked, before lighting a cigar, “I’ll probably get better, just the first time in eons I’ve cooked for someone else.”
