The Federal Republic of Rathoria

This leaves High Command with a dilemma. Moving the location of the attack is now out of the question, they like the Grendel Plains too much. A perfect line of assault for Rathorian ground forces with beneficial infrastructure and inhabitants leading deep into Aerlanican territory, combined with relatively weak air defenses, is perfect for their plans. The inability to neutralize those air defenses in the mountains with weather does pose a decisive problem though. An assault as-is would still be possible, but much more costly.

Pulling back their forces from ready positions is also not an option, as that would be monumentally expensive both to demobilize and to redeploy. If they choose to wait, it will have to be in place while trying to distract Aerlanican observers. Keeping hundreds of thousands of infantry happy in small bases is enough of a challenge without having to hide large groups of armored vehicles and aircraft as well.

High Command is leaning towards attacking without the acid rain, but they decide to wait for a response from the exiled Aerlanican Federation forces. Any advice they have will be taken into heavy consideration.
