I'd lost the old flag and decided to force a new design on my denizens. Apologies for my silence of late.

The bone scythe is a symbol of office wielded by those Necromancers of Reaper-Adeptus rank or higher. The red field represents those liquids most definitive to Life, Death and Unlife (blood & wine). Finally the golden seal is the fifth "Elder Sign", more potent than the common sigils utilised by lesser able sorcerers and yet surprisingly simple in its geometry; it keeps our nations outside the gaze of those forces that would otherwise seek to end those of us who have chosen to transcend conventional mortality.

You always put so much thought and lovely backstory into your designs.

It is also quite intriguing that sophisticated necromancers such as yourself have chosen to transcend conventional mortality. In my case I think the skeletonification just sort of happened. If I remember correctly. It sure happened a long time ago. When I try to ponder it, my skull feels sort of empty.

Why have one empty skull when you can have myriads.

No skull is truly empty. Every bone is brimming with potential.
