The Kingdom of Acadiana of Praal | Ivan Industries, Ardentus, and Retralik
The Kingdom of Acadiana of Praal | Nolan's Dawn. Less than a month has passed since Nolan's Dawn was officially christened by the dwellers of Vault 257. What had started out as a mere forty people looking for a place to make their own has transformed into a melting pot of nearly two hundred; three quarters of which are refugees rescued by the Texas Rangers and Armed Forces. The grateful refugees have already begun teaching the Vault dwellers more about the wasteland that they would have never known otherwise, educating them on which parts of which animals were safe to eat, how to avoid attracting ghoul swarms, basic traps and defenses to deter irradiated monsters, and more. One bit of knowledge in particular is of note to Representative Bell, the head of Hydroponics and thus the head of Agriculture for the entire Republic - which plants are edible and can be grown in large quantities. Over half of the refugees were farmers before they were enslaved by the various raider gangs, and are more than willing to help the Republic become self sustaining in return for citizenship; such a thing is easily granted by President Graves, who sees these hundred and fifty wastelanders as the first of many new citizens the Republic will encompass in the future. Several of the new citizens reveal that they were living on a homestead between Holland and Bartlett, and with any luck the slavers will have missed it entirely seeing as the ranch was away from the main roads and highways - the only reason they were captured is because they had ventured to Rogers to trade with another homestead in that area. Three of the citizens have been chosen to make the journey to the homestead alongside Charlie Team of the Texas Rangers, to see if the slavers did indeed miss their former home... And if they haven't, to scavenge the ruins for seeds and equipment necessary to begin the first official farm of the Republic of Texas.
Baton rouge union | That next morning, the BRUS Blackwater set off to Chesapeake Bay with a load of 2 shermans and a few trucks. Benign guided happily by Rick O’connell, the ship and her crew slipped into the ruins of Newport News. Unloading the men and trucks to ride up the road to the small Virginia War museum. Union Captain: “Alright men, you lot go into the museum and grab anything not bolted down. You 40 come with me” Following O’connell the 40 odd men walked towards the largest piece there. Union Pioneer: “The base is completely rusted to hell, but the breach and the barrel can be cleaned up at a workshop back home.” Looking around “ Wed need to lift the monster and split the barrel and breech apart to transport it. The shermans can haul them but i'll take a bit of time.”
The Kingdom of Acadiana of Praal | Mustang Range. After half a week of travel, the the six man group has finally arrived at Mustang Range to be met by smoldering ruins, ash, and congealed blood. It appears that raiders did find the homestead, and tore it down to the foundations after taking their fill of slaves. The Rangers pick through the ashes, stepping through blood and leaving a trail as they search the remains of the building for anything useful. The civilians mourn the loss of their families, but with the typical wastelander mindset, move on and gather what seeds they can find. Some hours later, the group has finished scavenging the ruins, and they begin the long walk back to Nolan's Dawn. __________ Mount Stetson. Although the refugees from Waco have finally been fully integrated into the Republic of Texas, one more task must be done before they can rest - and so the eighty odd newly minted civilians have constructed a small monument on the mountain just south of Nolan's Dawn. Although not much to look at, the monument represents the five Texan soldiers that fell in order to free them from the clutches of slavers, as well as to honor those slaves who were killed by their captors before they could be freed. Many dwellers from Vault 257 have come out to the monument to honor the lost soldiers, whom many knew personally after growing up in the Vault together, and President Graves has even prepared a small speech in their honor. "We gather here today at Mount Stetson to honor those who gave their lives in the service of others. I, and all of my fellow vault dwellers, thank the former refugees of Waco - now Texans by both law and blood - for constructing this monument to our fallen soldiers and to their fallen comrades. Although we were unable to recover their bodies for a proper burial here in Fort Hood, we do have the personal effects of the soldiers, which shall be placed upon this monument for all to remember and honor the first Texans to fall in the line of duty. Privates First Class Arianna Hawkins, Rory Webb, Mark Hall, Private Jesse Carr, and Specialist Kacper Wills - these are their names, and they will be immortalized for as long as we, the people of the Republic of Texas, carry their spirits with us everywhere we go. Courage in the face of a firefight, bravery for taking the march to Waco, and selflessness for laying down their lives for total strangers. These men and women embodied the ideals of our Republic, now and forever."

The Raveners of Gravelton | Official Manufacturing Edict by the Presidium and the Functionariat of the Secretariat in Regards to the Prefecture of Morehead City Due to the rapid increase in scrap and steel reserves and reports of functional warships further north of the United Prefectural Directorate in the pre-war state of Virginia's Chesapeake Bay, the Commissariat and the Industrial Design Bureau have forwarded a request for the production of a series of warships in order to ensure the supremacy of the UPD in its home waters, establish it further afield by supporting operations along the coastal provinces, provide transportation for coastal invasions in future operations and perform escorting duty for future civilian shipping. The Presidium's deliberations on the matter were settled by the Lieutenant Secretary of the Industrial Bureau's firm position that, quote, "We have enough scrap and steel to make around four of the d*mn things. If we do this, can we finally get some barges?", unquote and the matter was considered settled. The Constellation Society of Retralik | Half-track What about a combination of both? You get the maneuverability of a car, but the terrain capabilities of a tank or heavy APC. Perfect for the ruined infrastructure of the apocalypse. It need not be heavily armored, for it can run. And what if you put a machine gun on it? Better yet, how about four? Then it can deal with basically anything in the wasteland, be it bandits or beasts. Engineers of the Republic, get to work making this Frankenstein-ian machine.
The Kingdom of Acadiana of Praal | Nolan's Dawn. Two days have passed since the memorial commemorating the Battle of Waco was finished and fully opened after President Graves gave a speech honoring the sacrifices of the fallen. In that time, Corporals Gaines and Robertson of Delta and Echo Teams of the Rangers have been asking after former caravaneers in the community, looking to hunt down potential leads in expanding the Republic, as well as exploring the wasteland. Both men meet after an afternoon of interviews, having gained information on a variety of potential societies. Gaines was told, by all sources, that a nation originating from over the Sabine River has taken hold of the ruins of Houston, with Sugar Land being their westernmost holding in Texas. Robertson was informed of a settlement residing in A&M University, in the very heart of College Station - seeing as several of the former refugees reported being enslaved near College Station, the situation in the town must be dire, and requires immediate action. The two Corporals inform Brigadier General Abbott within the hour, requesting and being granted permission to scout out the two cities. Corporal Gaines alongside Delta Team will venture into Houston, while Corporal Robertson and Echo Team infiltrate College Station to determine the state of A&M.
The Sovereign Corporation of Ivan Industries | Play Ball One stadium, however, has managed to escape that fate - Tiger's Stadium, also known as Comerica Park. This is by and large due to the influence of the Illitch family, the pre-war owners of the stadium who were cofinanciers of the Skyward Bunker project and thus survived the war in comfort. After the war they aggressively reclaimed control over their properties, particularly Tigers Stadium. The property sat vacant for a number of years until the original Illitch's grandson came up with the idea to turn it into a tourist attraction. He moved out of the Towers and into the Stadium and rebuilt it as a shrine to the pre-war world. The scheme was moderately successful, being one of the few "family-friendly" (i.e. least likely to be killed by a deathclaw at) sights to see in the Motor City. Gerald Illitch made a killing off of selling old memorabilia and uniforms to curious passerbys. After Ivan's hostile takeover of the Skyward Holdings Company, he assumed by proxy ownership of the stadium. Ivan made an agreement with the Illitch family - they could keep doing what they were doing, so long as they brought back baseball. Ivan sold this to them as a good way to make even more money, so they readily assented. Figuring out the logistics of this deal delayed its implementation until the conclusion of the Tower-Vault War and some months afterwards. For one, they had to figure out who the Tigers would actually be playing. Given that Major League Baseball had been dismantled by the bombs, there were no other teams to play. Illitch eventually came up with the idea to solicit teams from the various settlements of Detroit, recreating the National League. Lil' Motown submitted a team, as did the Caliphate, Ground Floor, and Rochester Hills. Then there was the matter of actually teaching them how to play. This was a lot harder than one might think; it took several months before the various wastelanders managed to get the basics down. Here, the Rochester Hills ghouls were invaluable - at least a couple of them had been retired MLB players, and they gladly came out of their long retirement to help revive their sport. Once that was all said and done, it was then time for scheduling. Illitch had to come up with a schedule that would fit a League that had to get around on horseback. Eventually they settled on the weekends, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with three-day series. Then, finally, it was time to play. One fine April day, Tigers Stadium was ablaze with light and festooned with banners to mark the momentous occasion - Opening Day. People flocked from all over the Motor City Ruins to watch, many in response to a fairly effective hype campaign orchestrated by the Ivan Industries Marketing department. Ivan himself was in attendence. The spectacle didn't really match what he remembered from the pre-war - but it was still something, still Baseball. It still brought a smile to his face, once the Anthem was done, to hear the Umpire shout, "Play Ball!"
The Knights of Polaris of Ardentus | Old Friends Part 9: Interlude Central Long Island They were dug in, that was for sure, although not very well. Across most of the length of the island, in front of the ruins of pre-war towns that were now modern settlements, was a system of trenches that the Silverhawks had dug as a last ditch effort to stop the now inevitable victory of the Enclave. However, there was one thing they couldn't nullify; the air power the Enclave possessed, however minor it was compared to what the Enclave once had. The Vertibirds, now no longer needing to worry about the skyline of a great city preventing them from providing effective air support, struck. Despite the trenches dug by the Raiders, they were still vulnerable to attack, and the trenches themselves were little more than long slits in the ground, only somewhat reinforced by wooden planks. The Vertibirds rained down on them fire from their mounted miniguns and onboard soldiers, having little effect on the Raiders below physically, but the moral of the Silverhawks began to drop. But perhaps more importantly, they became focused on the Vertibirds above, which did not let up on their normal harassment. Then, while the Raiders were distracted by the Vertibirds, the ground forces made their move. Advancing with Sentinels in front and lesser armored troops in the rear in small squads, Enclave forces assaulted the trenches. Some Silverhawks along the line saw and attempted to rouse their comrades to fire, but the effect was limited. Only a handful of Enclave soldiers were taken out by the Raiders, and the return fire from the Enclave destroyed large sections of the line. In many places, the trench line broke almost immediately, with the Raiders retreating into nearby settlements. The more lightly armored soldiers in combat armor followed them, engaging in house to house fighting among the shacks and other buildings. In others, the line held a bit longer, with soldiers forced to engage in close quarters combat. Knives, bayonets, even swords were everywhere in these storms of blades. Rifle butts smacked into faces and stomachs, giving soldiers enough distance to fire their weapons and finish their assailants. Soon though, the line broke, and what remained of the Silverhawk defenses retreated back into the Hamptons Radiation Fields. Silverhawks lay dead across central Long Island, and the towns they once held hostage freed and accepted into the Enclave. It wasn't the end though, beyond the horizon, lay great geysers of radiation and death. The final battle was soon to happen. Casualties: 2,500 people integrated New York City He stood in the room that once served as the command center for his former friend. Silverhawk, director of the Enclave Intelligence Bureau, the agency that had saved the Enclave more than once, stood with a 10mm pistol in his hand, shaking with rage. The soldiers had preserved the room when they discovered it, hoping it might provide the EIB with information. Instead, all that remained was a single note that read See you next time old friend pinned to the wall behind the chair. Just then, Commander Lebannault entered and informed Silverhawk the final push was about to happen. Silverhawk remained silent for a moment before saying;
Revolutionary middleland | Middle the Mechanizing It was time that the wheel replaced the hoof. Middle was no longer in a position to lag behind its counterparts. If Middle's victories were to come at a quicker pace, the state needs to mechanize its armed forces. No ifs, ands, or buts. With a complete devotion of its armed forces and economy, 5 Po-2 planes would be set to be made in a week's time (rl). The research had been done, now it was time to profit. Middle needed some form of APC, so it would contribute concrete and dense steel plating to manufacture 26 ad-hoc school bus APC's built not too unlike the Killdozer from all of those ages ago by the end of the (rl week). Similarly, resources would be mobilized to make 42 technicals by the end of that same period. They would be armed with either rudimentary cannons, mortars, or machineguns according to what Middle has already produced. To meet such demand, 21 hell cannons and 21 .50 caliber machine guns would be manufactured in the one-day-strategy to arm said technicals. The remaining 21 large arms would be moved to manufacture .50 caliber machine guns for infantry use. Middle would divulge research resources into producing measures to counter-act vehicles, as well. Middle would pool related technological documents together to create a rocket launcher similar to the RPG-7. Middle would also begin research on the M29 81mm Mortar. No improvements to structures were made as a result of this armament sequence and the current educational process of Middle's selected next generation of middle-class. Although this would set Middle back in constructing its facilities, it was well worth having a mobile army.
Revolutionary middleland | Learning to Learn https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flYi4yuI_i4 Revolutionary Middleland had advocated for the creation of a middle class of technical experts to serve under the ruling shadow organization to give the political rulers some breathing room. With a handful of factories still running inefficiently, Middle needed 'managers and maintainers' to directly report to the commissars. Therefore, an educational program had been established with organizational members directly teaching a conglomerate of promising adolescents, experienced foreigners, and a new generation of children to perpetuate the political domination of the Plains. Under the red banner and yellow farmstead, the first class of Revolutionary Middleland held fistfuls of red scarf up to the flag and pledged allegiance to the ideology and state, their rifles still hanging off of their backs as a reminder of the inevitability of conflict with the outside. Everyone in the Revolutionary Middleland was a guerrilla of some sort. Classes had been going on for a short while now, but it would be months before the first managers walked out of the institutions with the qualifications to guide the people. As children were taught in non-Middle English and as adolescents worked with complex tools for the first time in their lives, and as specialist foreigners had their trades expanded on, Lop Bop's hidden gaze complimented a smirk of satisfaction- the smirk when you know your society is set to exist for perpetuity.
The Sovereign Corporation of Ivan Industries | For the Horde, pt. 2 He'd done his best to avoid this. Gathering together the remnants of Attis' army and what 1st-gen mutants he could recruit, he'd tried to find a place where they were not known so they could start over with fresh lives. He'd specifically settled in Michigan, in Lenawee County, a place overrun by the feral and mutated Razorback boars with razor-sharp spines and tusks capable of boring through power armor. There had been no humans here, so he couldn't be accused of taking human land. It had worked, at first. All the neighboring tribes, though wary, were at least open to communication and trade. Then they'd been discovered by the Wizards of Um and adopted as sort of a pet. It had been the Wizards that had given his people the nomen of Orcs - an identity the 2nd-gens were all to eager to adopt and one that had eventually been adopted by the entire Horde. Tiberius had even managed to establish good relations with some of the Detroit factions like the Caliphate and the Dons, who were all too eager to buy their bacon and razorback hides. But then the Durlings had decided they wanted Lenawee after all... Now here he was, waiting at Devil's Lake for the Fifth Security Battalion to rendezvous with him. No matter how hard he tried, it seems, humans would just hate him, even go so far as to invent lies to justify his destruction. He was beginning to lose hope. If Ivan Industries didn't follow through on their promise, then he might as well give up all hope that humans ever really could be trusted to live in peace with Orc-kind. If Humans wanted to treat Super Mutants as the monsters, then he might as well give them what they wanted... Thankfully, Colonel Moore and the Fifth Battalion showed up right on time. Maybe there was hope for peaceful coexistence after all... The plan was simple. The Durlings had three main enclaves - their tribal village near what used to be Prattville, a fortified trading compound built around the ruins of a Super-Duper Mart in Jonesville, and their main settlement around the old Hillsdale College, which they'd turned into a sort of a castle. The Super Mutants would go to Jonesville to claim the trading post, while the Fifth Battalion would take on the tribal village. They would then converge on Castle Hillsdale in a two-pronged attack to defeat the remaining settlement. Fifth Battalion's job was the easiest one. Though fortified, the village was not expecting attackers. Most of the clan's warriors were out in Jonesville and Hillsdale preparing for an imminent attack by the Orcs. Fifth Battalion surround the settlement before they even knew they were there, and after exchanging a few gunshots the settlement surrendered wholesale. The Horde had tougher going. The Super-Duper Mart had been turned into a heavily fortified compound by the Durlings. Old shipping containers had been dragged to the perimeter and filled with dirt to create a fairly effective wall. When they'd run out of shipping containers, they'd stacked all the old cars two high and filled them with dirt. Supplemental stones covered by a crude mortar finished it off. A makeshift gate led to the interior of the compound. While they had explosives, the Orcs wanted to save them for the assault on Castle Hillsdale. Instead, they found another old car and, after pulling out the nuclear engine, crushed it into something more resembling a beam. Armed with their makeshift battering ram, they assaulted the gate, using the crushed metal to batter down the gate. The gate itself wasn't very strong, so it didn't take much more than a couple of good swings. Once the gate was down, the Orcs swarmed inside and put down anyone who so much as pointed a gun in their direction in particularly brutal fashion. It was tough, in fact, to restrain the bloodlust of the Gen 2s and the East Coast-variant Orcs and keep them from slaughtering the entire settlement (about 650 people). Thankfully, the Gen 1 officers Tiberius had appointed managed to keep their dumber brethren from going overboard. With those two targets out of the way, it was not time for the main event: the Siege of Castle Hillsdale. Ardentus, Liberated New Arizona, and New franken
The Kingdom of Acadiana of Praal | Burleson County Courthouse. Near half a month after leaving Nolan's Dawn, Echo Team has ventured through several ghost towns and slaver hotspots. Skirting around the larger raider camps and mowing down those too drugged up to offer resistance, Corporal Robertson's team has managed to arrive in Caldwell, just west of College Station. Caldwell itself is merely a blip on the prewar map, but in the ravaged wasteland, it seems that some semblance of society has managed to take hold. The center of the impromptu village is the old DPS facility, which offers more than enough room for the hundred and twenty some citizens, with several farms scattered around the town proper providing food to all of them. It seems the slavers in the area have been bribed off as the citizens of 'Devil's Armpit' - as they've named it, owing to the fact of several slaver gangs in the surrounding countryside - using excess crops and criminals to secure their freedom. Unfortunately, one of the bolder clans has grown tired of the arrangement. Calling in help from College Station with - assumedly - promises of new slaves and fresh food, the clan has been taking action against the Armpit. Though small at first and easily brushed off as arrogant hooligans, the most recent strikes have been far more serious. Through some miracle, the slavers have managed to poison the well system that the Armpit's inhabitants were using to stay alive. Though the mayor of the township had had the foresight to always have ample reserves, the loss of the well is eroding the town's morale, and within the next few months, force the citizens to flee. Corporal Robertson has promised to help the town, stating that the Republic of Texas will never turn its back on those in need; and the men and women of the Devil's Armpit are certainly in need. Swearing to return in time with help, Echo Team begins the trip back to Killeen, to inform President Graves of the situation, and the opportunity for the Republic to expand once more - though the Armpit may have been strong, it's rapidly become clear to its people that it can no longer stand alone against the ravagers of the wasteland.
The Sovereign Corporation of Ivan Industries | For the Horde, pt. 3 Meanwhile, the Fifth Battalion was having difficulty traversing Hillsdale County's swampy terrain. The area around Hillsdale had been somewhat prone to swampiness even before the war, and it had only gotten worse since. The worst part was when the battalion got to Baw Beese lake and found that the causeway that M-99 was supposed to cross had collapsed and been reclaimed by the lake, forcing the battalion to go around several miles out of the way. Perhaps fortunately for them, the battle was still raging in the north. The Orcs had the upper hand, tough to kill as they already were, but the Durlings were fierce and crafty fighters. By the time the Fifth Battalion reached the southern edge of the ruins, the Orcs had only managed to push their foes back to the fairgrounds (or what was left of them after 200 years). Fifth Battalion entered the southern edge of the ruins of Hillsdale and barrelled straight up M-99 to the edges of the Durling settlement. Their only resistance was creature, mainly giant termite swarms and the occasional molerat brood. They reached the outer wall of the "Castle" and made preparations to breach and assault the fortifications. The sudden arrival of the Corporation on their back doorstep caused a little bit of a panic, with the Durling commanders almost immediately pulling troops back from the front line near the Fairgrounds. This was a disastrous decision as the weakened force was not able to hold back a renewed assault by the Horde. The Durlings retreated under the pressure and were soon forced back to the north section of their walls where they exchanged gunfire with the Orcs. The Fifth Battalion linked up with the Horde and Tiberius brought forth the C-4 charges he'd been saving for this occasion. While Corporate BAR gunners suppressed defenders on the wall, Horde sappers planted the charges and got out of there fast. The wall went up with a satisfying "KABOOM", showering the area with shards and dust. The Horde went first, the more durable Orcs acting as shock troopers while Fifth Battalion troopers followed along behind to exploit their breach. In the narrower streets of the settlement, the Orcs' melee weapons proved their worth as they literally cut their way through the defenders towards the castle. The Durlings, to their credit, put up quite a fight, growing more ferocious as they grew more desperate. With nowhere to run, many of them resorted to kamikaze attacks in a vain attempt to whittle down the enemy's numbers and buy their comrades some breathing room. The survivors were eventually pushed to the steps of Hillsdale College, where they prepared to make a last stand. At the last moment, the Durling Matriarch appeared, waving a white flag. She called for a cease-fire and asked for the terms of surrender. Tiberius was very happy that she'd shown some sense, having no desire to continue the slaughter. Together with Colonel Moore, he demanded that the Durlings disarm and surrender themselves as subsidiaries to the Sovereign Corporation. The Matriarch, seeing no other choice for the survival of her people, acceded. The Fifth Battalion remained to secure the area while Tiberius and the Horde returned home. Tiberius hoped that would be the end of it. He dared not hope things go back to the way they were, but hopefully at least his people could rest easy at night. Ardentus, Liberated New Arizona, and New franken
The Sovereign Corporation of Ivan Industries | For the Horde, pt. 4 Ivan took the opportunity to capitalize on the situation and offered Tiberius a deal he couldn't refuse: In exchange for Ivan Industries officially taking responsibility for the attack on Hillsdale, the Horde would become a Shareholder, with Tiberius joining the Board of Directors. Ivan had made him this offer earlier but Tiberius had turned him down, not wanting to get involved in human affairs. Now, however, with the threat of further war on the horizon, it was a deal he couldn't pass up, not unless he wanted his people displaced or destroyed by his neighbors. At least the Horde would more or less retain its autonomy under the deal, while receiving official corporate protection and the elimination of several tariffs and fees. Tiberius agreed, placing the Horde under the jurisdiction of the Sovereign Corporation. Ivan fulfilled his part of the promise, announcing that they were responsible for the attack on the Durlings and their subsequent "integration into the Ivani Common Market". This did little to placate the tribes, of course... But it did shift the target of their fear and ire, which was good enough for Tiberius. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Revolutionary middleland | Power and Fuel A coal power plant would be constructed in Boise City, Oklahoma in an attempt to better power Middle's various industrial locations. A coal to fuel conversion plant would also be constructed to bring fuel to the Po-2 planes two weeks later. It seemed that Middle would not stop growing, even as the revolutionary state broke limit after limit and consolidated itself to an offensive across the plains and an economic directive of military-first policy. For Lop Bop, it seemed like things were all coming according to plan. Some day soon, his vision would become reality- a reality that would leave a lasting impression on New America for centuries to come...
The Kingdom of Acadiana of Praal | Caldwell Fire Station. Another half month has passed since Echo Team left the Armpit and convinced Brig. General Abbott to send support to the town - luckily for the inhabitants, help has arrived in the form of the 5th Company under Captain Reynolds, as well as Medical Delta with Staff Sergeant Glass. With information provided by Echo Team and the Armpit's citizens, 5th Company has split into four platoon of twenty five, with each platoon taking a cardinal direction and laying down basic defenses using rusted cars and various debris. Medical Delta has also split, sending one man to each platoon with five remaining in the wings, taking stock of the civilians while awaiting the call to arms. Echo Team has been tasked by Captain Reynolds to search the countryside for the hostiles, with standing orders to hold fire unless an opportune moment appears; being as Echo will be drastically outnumbered, they are not expected to find such a moment. The town now waits to see what will happen next - will the slavers press the attack, or are they content to watch the town enter a drought? KNCT-FM, Central Texas College. With the Republic beginning to expand, the need for proper lines of communication have become apparent - sending messengers back and forces over miles of potentially dangerous wilds won't cut it. That in mind, Representative Joshua Brack of Engineering has devised a plan; repairing old radio towers in various locations across the Republic. Utilizing some of the vast quantities of scavenged electronics, the men and women of the 2nd Engineering Crew under Sergeant Riley are prepared for the repairs to take anywhere between one and two months. Simultaneously, a ten man squad from the 4th Company has been dispatched to the old Killeen Police Department to scavenge the comms equipment that connected dispatchers to officers on the ground. With any luck, the equipment can be repaired and put to use for the Texas Rangers and other units of the Armed Forces - the repair work being done by the 2nd Engineering will be crucial to this, as the boosted signal will allow Ranger teams in the field to report directly back to Vault 257 and give mission updates, rather than being forced to leave the Vault in the dark for weeks at a time. Nolan's Dawn. While teams are out in the ruins of Killeen working on the communications front, the inhabitants of Nolan's Dawn and the Vault have recently begun drafting various plans for additional buildings and facilities. One such plan is a farm just north of the Sugar Loaf Gap, at nearly seven hundred and thirty acres in size. Construction has begun immediately on the farm, as the growing population of the Republic will need food more than it needs spare materials. At the same time, blueprints are being drawn up for the establishment of a foundry, positioned on the old Dyncorp tarmac west of the air field. Representative Stefek is also looking for volunteers among the populace to establish devoted salvage teams in order to provide a necessary boost to the Republic's stockpiles of scrap materials, although the initiative is currently on the backburner while work on the farm begins. New-confederate states | An home far from home The Confederate forces were ready to cross the Tennessee, to continue their advance south to arrive at Montgomery. But, between their target and the territory that they already hold, stood in the southernmost tip of the Appalachian mountains the city of Birmingham, the largest pre-War city of Alabama. The 2nd and the 4th Infantry would have followed the old I-65, going straight through the city. Pop Loss/Gain +1629

At the same time, plants already repaired still out of work will immediately start production. Started building Medium Foundry: finished on 03/30/21 (used 6 Concrete 8 Steel)
The Knights of Polaris of Ardentus | Old Friends Part 10: Final Words Hamptons Radiation Fields The Hamptons hadn't been populated much even before the war, mostly serving as a resort destination for the wealthy. Now, they were a shadow of what they were, home to great geysers that spouted radiation dust or irradiated water. This was where the Enclave moved to finish things. For the first time, all 150 Sentinels, in suits of X-02 or Hellfire Power Armor, were sent, since they were the most resistance to the radiation that was prevalent in the area. The rest of the soldiers were given doses of Rad-X to dampen the effects of any radiation from the geysers that might affect them. As the forces of the Enclave advanced, they found very little organized resistance. The Silverhawks now knew the fight was hopeless, and only fought out of fear of what their superiors, who were truly loyal to Simon Gray, would do if they disobeyed. The pockets of resistance were concentrated around towns and resort homes of long dead millionaires, each having been fortified with sandbags and wooden planks. On the surface, it looked like it would be a tough fight, but long gone were the days where the Silverhawks were a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. Despite these fortifications, the low moral often meant that the Silverhawks surrendered when given the chance, and each pocket crumbled relatively easily, with only the bosses putting up much of a fight, or the few squads within the compounds that still were hopeful that victory against the Enclave might somehow be achieved. Even so, radiation geysers claimed soldiers from both sides, and the fighting within the remaining houses and streets was brutal, no matter how demoralized the Silverhawks were. Even so, by the afternoon, the remaining resistance to the Enclave's advance crumbled, each mansion and town was taken. All except one at the end of the island that overlooked the small bay, one with a banner of a hawk painted in silver on a black background. When soldiers, even the Sentinels, got near it, they were ordered back. this was not their fight, they were told, it belonged to another, someone who had a right to end things more than anyone else. Villa, Hamptons Radiation Fields The five bodyguards of Simon Gray stood outside the once great structure. As Silverhawk advanced, the bodyguards raised their guns to fire. Silverhawk fired twice, two of them went down. The remaining guards opened fire. Rushing forward, Silverhawk grabbed one of the dead guards and used him as a shield while grabbing his rifle and dropping his pistol. Tossing the body aside, Silverhawk fired another three shots. Three more thumps as the remaining guards hit the ground. Silverhawk dropped the rifle and grabbed his pistol, checking the clip as he did. Up the front stairs of the house came a slow clap. Casualties: Enclave: 250 1,200 people integrated Boston, 3 days later President Winters sat with a list of prepared remarks before him. It had come to a close, and yet it had only begun. The Kingdom of Acadiana of Praal | Sugar Loaf Ranch. Although it took several days, the combined efforts of the Vault dwellers and those former refugees who had been farmers have finished the first official farm of the Republic. Over four hundred acres consist of razorgrain - the wasteland's substitute for prewar wheat - while the remainder is a variety of corn, tatos, and carrots. The first shipments are being sent to Baylor University in Waco; after the eradication of the slavers in the area, the 3rd Company under Captain Anderson established a forward operating base in the University, encouraging the wastelanders in the surrounding area to join them in the city for protection. Some of the wastelander citizens in Nolan's Dawn have also been discussing forming caravans of their own, to head into the vast wasteland to bring goods back to the Republic, as well as learn more of the possible societies that the Republic could one day come into contact with. The first caravan is headed by Alonso Verez, with thirteen others joining him on the journey eastward. Every member of Verez's caravan is a denizen of the wasteland, and thus know how to properly protect themselves from the threats that inhabit it, as well as how to navigate it and to survive off the land if it becomes necessary. After saying their goodbyes and being given the official blessing of Mayor Stefek, the caravan sets out east on Interstate 14 - though the road is assuredly damaged somewhere along it's length, the caravanners will be able to travel all the way to the east coast if everything goes well, passing through LA, MS, AL, and GA. (Baton rouge union this caravan will be passing through your territory, specifically in Alexandria)
Smartiepantses | Betrayal At It's Finest The year is 2289 and Ano-El has made an appearance within Vault 37, a living god incarnation, the Overseer didn't trust the safety of the Vault while Ano-El remained within the walls of the Vault. Few Dwellers sought out petitions to kick out the Ano-El Dweller and others praised the deity and went against the petitions. A no-El tried to strike diplomacy with the Overseer, but it had failed, and Ano-El wasn't going to accept this failure. Ano-El knocked the Overseer unconscious and restrained him in the office, locking the doors to enter. Ano-El waited until the Overseer woke up, he was waiting as he stared into the eyes of the Overseer. He was knelt and had set his hand on the knee of the restrained and gagged Overseer. Ano-El stared at the Overseer through his respirator, speaking through a dark raspy tone. "I forgive you. You fear what you do not understand. It's common for a mortal such as yourself. Look at me, and hear me. Embrace my words into your thoughts, you must understand what I represent. I am a fallen angel amongst mortals, dear Overseer. I am lost and I am found... Hear me..." The room fell silent, Ano-El had quit talking but a multitude of thoughts was invading the Overseer's mind. It was overwhelming, loud voices in his head speaking directly to him. "Ano-El has blessed you with his presence." "Through faith is peace, and Ano-El is the passage to peace." "Ano-El is the supreme, for the lower deities have yet to prove their worth of faith. Ano-El is a presence worthy of both trust and faith." "You dare defy a god? You will regret such an outrageous decision, you will burn in the depths of infinity." After two hours of telepathic communication, the Overseer was mentally broken. Ano-El stood up and looked down to the Overseer, speaking to him now. "I am done speaking to you mortal, I await your decision. Do you defy me or do you worship me?" Ano-El removed the gag from his mouth and waited for his response to the question presented to him. The Overseer was broken, he slowly glanced up at Ano-El and spoke to him. His eyes shown fear and misunderstanding, and Ano-El could sense such feelings and thoughts. "I-I will not join you, you're a fake deity! You're insane! I will banish you and your lunatic followers! Your ego is too big to be self-acknowledged, you've been off your medication!" Ano-El sighed and shook his head, "This outcome I did not expect, to be openly misunderstood after properly acquainted with my offers of peace and destiny. Such a pity. I will not let my following fall under the authoritarianism of Vault-Tec. I will honor your death by releasing you and giving you a proper battle, although foolish to defy a god I will not murder you without a fair attempt." With this, Ano-El dug in his Vaultsuit and took out a combat knife to cut his restraints, after he was released he ran towards the controls but Ano-El beat him to the control board. He was also met with Ano-El's blade, sinking into his stomach. "Foolish mortal... Such waste." The Overseer fell back and grunted in pain, the Vault door opened and people in robes and hoods entered and bowed before their god. Ano-El commanded the followers to a deed before leaving the office and his followers, it chilled the Overseer to the spine to hear. "Take care of this mortal, they are a traitor to peace and prosperity. After his death, we will liberate the rest of the Vault. I want one of you on the control board while the rest of the followers will deploy their crusades through the halls of Vault 37, kill any opposing forces such as Vault-Tec security." After the command, Cabal followers began searching all the rooms and attacking any opposing Dwellers and Security Officers until the Vault was completely under Ano-El's control.

Xavier Part II: The Old Roads Xavier heeded the words of the Mayor, he quickly packed his things and left Nipton and sunrise, careful to avoid the Newborn patrols that walk the streets. At first, he didn’t know where to go, but he eventually settled on going to Primm, which has its own solidified police force. And so, he begins his journey now. Xavier thinks it won’t be long, as Primm isn’t too far away. But as he walks the roads, he notices more dangers that he avoids. With the absence of the MDF patrols, paths across the Mojave have become increasingly more dangerous to walk. Avoiding the open dangers, Xavier travels parallel to the road and cuts across a dry lake, which is swarming with massive ants, although they are much less dangerous than Radscorpions. Taking his chance, he keeps his caravan shotgun by his side. With his shortcut, Xavier only has to take out a few large ants, being spared the larger dangerous on the open roads. He arrives at Primm only to find its entrances completely closed off at every point. Guards dressed in leather armor patrol the walls, and aim their rifles at Xavier when he arrives, “Stop right there! What business do you have in Primm?” Xavier puts his hands up and responds, “I’m from Nipton. The town has been hit by the Newborn. I’m here seeking refuge.” The Guards don’t lower their weapons, “Primm is on lockdown, no one is allowed in or out. I’m sorry, but we can’t take you. I suggest heading further north to Goodsprings.” The Guards lower their weapons before going about their patrols. While Xavier knows Primm is much safer, Goodsprings is still better than the open desert. He turns and heads north towards Goodsprings, hoping to find better luck there.
