I decided to record another video for future generations, because tomorrow my second presidential term will end and I will retire from politics for good, to finally rest from all my losses and struggles. In the previous video I talked mostly about our past, but now it's time to talk mostly about the present and the future. I won't introduce myself as this video should be watched immediately after the previous one, which I recommend you to do if you haven't already.

We lost our country as it became no longer possible to live normally in its territory. And we almost lost our people and our American values. Having escaped one war, we, the few surviving Americans, had to immediately enter another war, clinging to our only chance to acquire our own country again, which would be our new home, to prevent the American people from dissolving and disappearing among other peoples in foreign countries, and to prevent Americans from being refugees.

Europe welcomed us with open arms, but not for free. We had to pay with the blood and lives of our people. As you probably know, all the territories on our planet already belong to someone, one state or another. And none of them are willing to lose these territories. Moreover, some of them want to get more territories by seizing them from other states. It is exactly this desire gave us the only chance to acquire our own country again.

Russia's war against Ukraine. Even though the Ukrainian people were having a very difficult time themselves, they understood us very well, so they decided to help us and accommodate us, the 5 million surviving Americans. We negotiated this with the Government of Ukraine while we were still in the territory of the former United States of America. Other European countries just helped us with the transportation of people and everything that we were able to evacuate. They had their own problems, because without the United States of America, the entire world monetary and financial system collapsed and the largest economic crisis in the history of humanity occurred, not to mention the fact that because of the use of nuclear weapons in our civil war, as well as the wide-scale destructions, radioactive particles and chemicals have spread beyond the territory of the former United States of America, poisoning and killing everything alive that they can reach.

In Ukraine, we were immediately allowed to create a quasi-state, and they helped us with its foundation. We had no de jure or de facto claims to the territory of Ukraine, so it did not require a national referendum, which was impossible during the war. By creating at least a quasi-state that had everything what a real state should have, except de facto controlled territory, we were able to achieve that the international community quite quickly officially recognized Skalliad as the successor to the former United States of America, which de jure secured our rights to their territory. Thus, we replaced the former United States of America on NATO, UN Security Council, and in many international treaties, and we were even quickly accepted into the EU, considering that Skalliad is now de facto in Europe. But it also brought us a lot of problems, primarily economic ones. At that moment, the very creation of a quasi-state considered at least as something strange, but we had no other choice.

We settled on the territory of Lviv and Volyn oblasts. The oblasts are regions of Ukraine, like states, but not autonomous. Together with Ukrainians, we very quickly built permanent housing for our people, the resources for which were allocated to us by Ukraine. It was done not without a lot of casualties. For the first couple of months, when the defense of Skalliad was still extremely weak and the country was not a member of NATO, the Russian Armed Forces were very fond of shelling the cities where we lived, and many ordinary Russians as well as official propaganda made fun of us in every possible way. Thousands of people died, and tens of thousands were wounded.

Finally, it was time to pay our debt to Ukraine, and avenge the dead and wounded, both Skalliadians and Ukrainians. Under the terms of the agreement between the Government of Skalliad and the Government of Ukraine, we were obliged to enter the war and start fighting against Russia. By that time, The Armed Forces of Ukraine were virtually unable to hold off the enemy. All of Eastern Ukraine had been lost, and the enemy was accelerating its advance further into the country. That's why they agreed to accommodate us, taking such a desperate step. And the risk fully justified itself.

Despite the civil war, Skalliad, six months after the start of The Great American Catastrophe, was a formidable power, mostly because of the legitimization of the state in the form of a quasi-state. Our original group of 5 million survivors was strengthened by other surviving Americans from all over the world, as well as by some Americans who had not lived in the former United States of America for a long time. Because of this, there were no longer 5 million Americans gathered in Ukraine, but 27 million, who now called themselves "Skalliadians" and were re-united under a new flag. In addition, Skalliad regained control of almost all military bases around the world, along with most of the U.S. Armed Forces on their territory, with a portion of their strategic weapons still in place. Additionally, most of the U.S. Navy ships survived, which were reassigned to the Skalliad Navy and then deployed to the Mediterranean Sea and the Baltic Sea.

Finally, NATO allies were more willing to help Skalliad, as the successor of the former United States of America and a member of the alliance, rather than the losing Ukraine, which is not a NATO member. Therefore, several hundred thousand soldiers were trained for The Armed Forces of Skalliad in a few months, in addition to volunteers, many of whom were former soldiers of the former U.S. Armed Forces. In addition, after Skalliad joined NATO, allies began helping The Armed Forces of Skalliad defend the airspace of western Ukraine.

And on June 13, 2026, Skalliad entered the war against Russia, with the support of NATO allies. In the following months, the enemy's Aerospace Forces were almost completely defeated, especially strategic aviation, air and missile defense, and much more, and we also inflicted catastrophic damage to the Military-Industrial Complex. The Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Kherson Oblast, Zaporizhzhya Oblast, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Poltava Oblast, Sumy Oblast, Kharkiv Oblast, Donetsk Oblast, and finally Luhansk Oblast were completely liberated, restoring Ukraine to its borders of 1991.

An invasion into the territory of Russia was not planned due to the threat of nuclear war, but fortunately this problem solved itself, as due to the obvious inevitable defeat in the war, a coup d'état took place there, and soon the new President of Russia agreed to sign a peace treaty between Skalliad, Ukraine and Russia, which happened on September 27, 2026. Russia also became obliged to gradually pay war reparations to Ukraine in the amount of 1.5 trillion ASD, hand over all those responsible for starting and waging the war to the International Criminal Court, and completely destroy all of its strategic weapons, with the participation of international observers.

After the war ended, most of the Ukrainian refugees returned back to the country. Ukraine then held presidential elections, and a short time later, the new President of Ukraine organized an unexpected national referendum, in gratitude to Skalliad... The Ukrainians were deciding to make Ukraine the 51st state of Skalliad, which would mean that Skalliad would cease to be a quasi-state, and would gain a de facto controlled territory, assigned to it de jure as well, and thus gain full statehood. On December 8, 2026, at a national referendum, 78.93% of Ukrainians decided that Ukraine should become the 51st state of Skalliad. And on February 18, 2027, 38 million Ukrainians and 27 million Skalliadians, Ukraine and Skalliad, became one state with a population of 65 million people.

That is how the first years of Skalliad's existence passed. Subsequently, our state was rebuilding what had been destroyed in the State of Ukraine, rapidly gaining power, and preparing for new challenges it might face in the future...
