Long story short, it's been apparent for a while now that Esquarium has some serious problems, and with Xiao and Ank leaving, the situation has come to a head. Our plan is to make a new region, building on the canon we constructed in Esquarium but seeking to address the issues that have faced it with a new map, new leadership, and better oversight. We would like to say, however, that we all are very thankful for the experiences we have had in Esquarium and all the wonderful people in it, and do not want this not to undermine the region; rather, we want to fix its systematic flaws while keeping the many good things.

It is our hope that, in doing so, we can build a better region. For the time being, we're using region=altis, but that might change in the future. You're all more than welcome to join us there.
