This, I will agree with, but perhaps for different reasons depending on the party.

Greetings, Western Islanders! In answer to Our Most Glorious and Serene Overlord Vancouvia's questions,

I've known about and have been researching this place for a while; I mainly started NS because of my interest in worldbuilding and geopolitics, and I looked for regions where that was a primary focus. I thought I had found one in Conch Kingdom, but after a while it lost its luster, so I decided to start over somewhere similar.

My interests are pretty varied, but I would say my main ones of relevance here are, as I've said, geopolitics and worldbuilding; anything else can probably extrapolated from whatever pop-culture references I end up making.

As for what nation I'm trying to make here, I'm essentially trying to do the opposite of my old CK nation, Corrinnesia. It was a jingoistic, fascist-leaning, authoritarian pseudo-democracy with an aggressive, interventionist foreign policy and world power ambitions; in other words, the opposite of my actual political and moral views. For this nation, I intend to create a state that reflects my real-world opinions, an emergent middle-power idealistically attempting to spread its goals of democracy, freedom, and civil rights in the world.

I hope this was informative and won't get suppressed for being too long.

It seemed like an underrated spot; you get geographical connections to tons of the major TWI players by proximity, most of the islands have a lot of territory, and you get to abuse your geostrategic position to control north/south maritime trade in the Mesder Sea use your proximity to important sea routes for the betterment of your neighbors.
