Thursday 30 Jun - Monday 4 Jul
Headline:
Changeable with sunshine and heavy showers.

Today:
A changeable day with sunshine and heavy showers, with a risk of thunderstorms and hail, moving east through the day. Much drier and clearer in the evening. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Tonight:
Showers will ease during the evening, to leave a mostly dry night with some clear spells. However there may be the odd shower in the west during the early hours. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Friday:
A dry start for many with sunny spells Friday, however, showers quickly developing across the country. A band of more organised cloud and showery rain arriving from the west later. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Remaining unsettled through the weekend with sunshine and showers. Pleasant in any sunshine but cool in and around showers. Showers becoming lighter and less frequent Monday.

Could I also ask that you 'like' the dispatches, this gives the threads more publicity, Thank you.

I would like to thank Aerilia, Aenglaland, Pinguioris, Ayuzhhhhh, Emeraldisia, Filibustra, Nordic-British Union and United States of Dictators for their interest and regular support for the thread. 😀

To give more publicity for the thread I've made a snazzy dispatch, which has been updated with links.

Cardiff Airport Aerial view[2014]

If you like aircraft, then this could interest you.

I had a career in aviation and have worked on, and even flew, many aircraft types.

Both rotary and fixed wing, fast military jet and wide bodied civilian airframes.

Cardiff International Airport [CWL] and St. Athan are my local aviation hubs.

I created the forum thread as I still have that interest in aviation.

I still miss the smell of 'avtur' and hydraulic oil. Lol

For more goings on please check out my thread on the forum in TNP's Community Center, Bulletin Board.

LinkHere is the link:

If you like what you see there, please click the 'like' button on the relevant posts.

Which aircraft or photo will be the overall favourite? :D

Please enjoy!

Still can't get enough of aircraft?

Then try this thread too! :)

https://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/9194937/

In World War II thousands of planes crashed in the UK.

Not all losses were combat: many were flying accidents due to factors such as bad weather, pilot error or mechanical failure.

129 aircraft crash sites in the South Wales area have been identified.

These have been sorted, duplicates erased and other non-military crashes removed and a further 59 new site records created.

176 aircraft crash sites (terrestrial, intertidal and maritime) are now represented within this thread.

Distribution of aircraft crash sites across South Wales

Aircraft crash sites are a tangible yet enigmatic reminder of the massive changes of the 20th century.

They embody the futility of modern warfare and the potential for instant destruction while demonstrating the technological leaps seen in aviation during the course of the century.

And revealing the history of triumph and disaster.

Providing a memorial to the air crews and the stories behind the final flights of each aircraft.

They have long been the subject of enquiry for many different groups of people, and this has often resulted in the depletion of wreckage from the sites.

Each military aircraft crash site is designated as a Protected Place under the Protection of Military Remains Act 1986.

Any intervention on a site requires a license approved by the JCCC Agency of the MoD.

Licenses will not be granted where human remains or unexploded ordnance are anticipated.

As this thread will be finite, I will be posting it in the Community Centre's Polaris Library.

You will find the thread LinkHere

Please remember to 'like' the posts if you like them. :D

Thank you

Introduction

Schedule and Event Info

Event Rules

Participants

Once sung, forever remembered.

Here is Neoncloud, capital of Neonlake, home of dry ice generators, overly riveted steel, oversized data storage and now, 'tis with our utmost pleasure, home of The North Pacific Vision 28 (TNPV XVIII hereafter). This honour was bestowed upon us by the last host, Nordic-British Union after winning the prestigious 2nd year anniversary competition with the LinkCrab Rave! A song most inspirational to us as our national animal is indeed the Neonlake Glow-Crab.

Below you shall indeed find all the details of what in the world a TNPV is, its rules, Its schedule, its participants and how YOU can enter!

In the meantime, do feel free to sojourn awhile our hard fought land. Our currency are WORM (Write Once Read Many) floppy disks. Unlike most currencies these can be an adventure unto themselves! Each of them is filled with various snippets of our nations past and are responsible for our very founding! Failing that, do instead use them to purchase aught from our famous steelsmiths! Our weaponry and armour are second to none! They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong!

Perhaps purchase one our fabled Tungsten M-series home computers! Perhaps 'retro' to other nations, but certainly packing charm with their warm phosphor glow!

If you're instead seeking beauty or sights to see, do seek our titular 'Neon Lake' It reflects the countless neons of the city around it, along with the wondrous glow of our nations crabs below! Do watch out though, as we are neighbouring with Ethnon, some of Cleo's ravenous crocodiles may have found their way into it.

Once you're quite done gawping
there is aught to be done!

Enter your song into the competition! Then rate the songs of others using points! Receive points from others from their enjoyment of your song!
Tis quite simple to ken, but more shall be explained later!

Best of luck to the entrants, do make the most of TNPV XVIII as there is only one TNPV XVIII. It's legend shall be written once, and read many.

Director of relations and vassal of his lordship Argyle the Usurper
