Greater Novaya is the name of the continent named after Novaya itself. It consisted of the following regions:
- Novaya: The name of the southern regions as well as the realm that was ruled by the militaristic Novayans. Divided into Western, Eastern, Southern, Northern and Central Novaya, it is most culturally and dominantly Novayan. Southern and Eastern Novaya would later adopt their own identities (especially those of the Eastern Novayan mainlanders), similar to how the Eastern Roman Empire adopted its own Byzantine identity. This region currently consisted of Central, Western and Northern Novaya. This region is home to the Western Novayan Empire (or simply Novayan Empire), Kingdom of Spania and Kingdom of Soissons (both located in Western Novaya), all of which were bureaucratic yet conceptually feudal.
- Eastern Novaya: This region consisted of Sarassa, Erastien and Amaterasu, the latter of which is located to the east and off the continent's coast. Sarassa and Erastien would later adopt the Labarintine identity, while Amaterasu would retain its Japanese-like culture albeit with Novayan cultural elements included. While similarly militaristic in a way to how Novayans really were, administrative and military reforms helped improve the state to the point the civilian and military infrastructures were stratified. It is home to the Labarintine Empire, a very bureaucratic empire of all things.
- Southern Novaya: This region consisted of the southern mainland and the Southern Novayan archipelago. While predominantly Novayan in of its own right, recently there had been a rising trend in cultural intermingling between Novayans, Southern Novayans, Bloodlanders, Sagittarians and several other cultures; as a result, it became very distinct and unique since it has become multicultural and multiethnic. The Bloodlanders' advanced sanitary systems and the Sagittarians' advanced astral magic and education systems were incorporated into Southern Novayan everyday life, while the Imperial Novayan military adopted different strategies. It is home to the Southern Novayan Empire, which is led by a caesar (junior emperor).
- Bloodlands: The Bloodlands refer to a vast region to the northwest of Novaya and consisted of western and northwestern Greater Novaya, and its biomes were diverse (though resembling those in Asia). It is so named because it is home to the Bloodlanders, a diverse culture most known for their use of blood magic. While secretive, they were more known for their exhaustive record-keeping, which can be too exhaustive for non-Bloodlanders, and are known to love art more than war and were very much honorable until the Novayan Empire's constant aggressions turned the Bloodlanders quite hostile; Bloodlander hostility towards Novaya had lessened recently. While there are many nations in the Bloodlands, the most notable and well-understood is the Kingdom of Atoradas, known for its unique kind of blood magic that allows Atoradians to store memories in their blood, deposited in one pint every coming-of-age (or birthday) after their 16th or 18th birthday and above. Contrary to popular beliefs, the Bloodlands doesn't have any bodies of blood (in a similar vein to bodies of water), nor were there any sort of ritualistic sacrifices happening just for the harvesting of blood for blood magic even before the Novayan-Bloodlander Wars ended peacefully recently. And no, no Novayans were even sacrificed for their blood to be used. And even while they were hostile, more resolute and bloodthirsty, they're still gentlefolks who treat their enemies who surrendered well (though those who were unrepentantly evil were executed).
- Sagittarius: Sagittarius is a massively vast region of steppes, plains, forests and rough terrain located in northern, northeastern and northwestern Greater Novaya. It is home to the semi-nomadic and semi-sedentary Sagittarians (aka Chirons), who were known for being astronomers, astrologists and astrologers, philosophers and healers. Two/Three-seventh of Sagittarius was Novayanized (located in southern Sagittarius) while the rest retain their semi-nomadic lifestyle. Their name came from their namesake goddess, known as Chiron or Sagittarius. Contrary to popular beliefs, Sagittarians aren't completely centaurs, but rather horses and ponies.
