THE AGREEMENT

This document contains the agreement between the regions listed above known as the 'Christian Regions Cooperation Agreement'.

AIM

The Christian Community on NationStates, whilst being a diverse, vibrant and large community, in the past has existed with a limited degree of cooperation and in relative isolation. Seeking to redress this, we recognise that in our diversity as Christians, there is more served by coming together than remaining apart. We aim to work collaboratively pursing common objectives and goals, placing God at the centre of everything we do, recognising the strengths of working together rather than apart. This agreement forms the basis of these goals, establishing itself as a means of seeking greater cooperation and interaction among Christian Regions.

The 'Christian Region's Cooperation Agreement' is:
-A basis for increasing cooperation, integration and interaction of Christians on NationStates.
-An expression of the will for greater unity and cooperation among Christian Regions.
-An enforceable agreement of freely associating Christian Regions, executed in the spirit of the agreement.

The 'Christian Region's Cooperation Agreement' is not:
-A treaty or establishment of a supranational organisation or government for reasons of roleplay or otherwise.
-An ecumenical council, declaration, statement or any other thing which has a similar effect or outcome.
-A vehicle for exclusion or division and is not a statement or definition of the Christian Faith.

ARTICLE 1 - MEMBERSHIP

A) Membership of the CRCA shall be open to all Christian Regions in Nation States.
B) A Region shall be determined as a 'Christian Region' for the purpose of membership when:
i) Upon application, a Region of 2 or more nations has a name which clearly suggests a Christian affiliation or has some other feature which so clearly identifies the region as being a Christian Region, and;
ii) Accepts the 'Statement of Faith' as defined in this agreement.

ARTICLE 2 - STATEMENT OF FAITH

This 'Statement of Faith' is created with the intention of harmonising doctrinal differences between Regions and Nations.

We believe:
A) In God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
B) That the Bible is the inspired word of God.
C) Man obtained a sinful nature by disobeying God, removing mankind from a position of grace.
D) God promised Abraham he would make him the father of a great nation, Israel.
E) Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and to Mount Sinai where the Law and 10 Commandments were revealed, after which he led them to Canaan.
F) After returning from Egypt, God led the Israelites through Judges, Rulers and Prophets.

We believe that Jesus:
G) Is God’s only Son, our Lord, the Jewish Messiah who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born to Mary of a Virgin birth.
H) Preached the Gospel to the 1st Century Palestinians during his ministry.
I) Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell.
J) On the third day he rose again, he ascended into heaven,
K) He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
L) That Jesus Christ will return, reign over all the earth and establish the Kingdom of God.

We believe in:
M) the Holy Spirit; the holy universal Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

ARTICLE 3 - AREAS OF COOPERATION

A)* All members shall open and maintain Embassies with all CRCA Member Regions.
B)* Member Regions shall share information regarding nations banned and ejected from their region for security purposes.
C)^ Member Regions are encouraged to be Supporting Regions of the 'International Refugee Centre - IRC'.
D)* Proselytism may only be conducted if the region allows it and it is not done in secret.
i)This clause shall in no way restrict the open discussion of religion between members of regions.

(*) Indicates a compulsory area of cooperation.
(^) Indicates a voluntary area of cooperation.

ARTICLE 4 - GOVERNANCE

A) Each Member Region shall become a member of 1 of the 4 Conferences: Catholic Conference, Orthodox Conference, Protestant Conference, Unaffiliated Conference.
B) The administration of the CRCA shall rotate between the 4 Conferences so that each Conference administers the CRCA for 3 nonconsecutive 1 month terms per year.
C) When administering the CRCA, the respective Conference shall appoint a nation from their Conference as 'Agreement Convener', who shall be the Executive Officer of the CRCA, in anyway that Conference decides.
i) No nation may be 'Agreement Convener' more than once per year.

ARTICLE 5 - CHANGES

A) A majority of Member Regions and a majority of Conferences are required to add to, remove or change any part of the agreement.
B) To suspend or remove a Member Region a 2/3rd majority of Member Regions and a unanimity of Conferences is required.
i) The Agreement Convener may remove a Member Region if it no longer complies with a provision in Article 1B upon notifying all Founders and Regional Representatives.
C) Unanimity of Member Regions is required to make changes to Article 2 - The Statement of Faith. Let it here be noted, that the Statement of Faith is not meant to accurately reflect the personal faith of Member Regions, but to be the common ground on which this CRCA is founded.

Report
The confidential nature of the work of this committee will make it impossible to share all that we have done. We know that God will reward us for the good works done in secret (St. Matthew 6:1-4). Therefore, here we will only note those things that can be shared openly.

Directly after the appointment of Terra principalis as the agreement convener for September, an invitation was sent to the founders and representatives of the member regions of the CRCA.

Sancta francia prepared a proposal to provide a second type of membership for those who cannot yet accept the rules that apply for full membership.

As of 31 August, the proposal looks like this, to be added under Article 1 of the CRCA:
"C) Regions that are unable to register as full members under the provisions in A) and B), but are still interested in taking part in the activities of the CRCA, can apply for the status of cooperating region.
i) A majority vote of member regions is needed for a region to be accepted as cooperating region.
ii) Cooperating regions will not have voting rights, but are encouraged to take part in discussions.
iii) Nations from cooperating regions shall be allowed to take part in committees, although it should be noted here that they do not possess voting rights.
iv) The status of a cooperating region can be changed to full membership once the provisions under A) and B) are met, and the region's representatives request such a change."

Adawn proposed that the Preaching Committee send puppet nations to weak Christian regions, to encourage activity on the regional message board. Furthermore, he proposed we should try to get those regions involved in the World Assembly, and to encourage them to form alliances with other regions. If possible, we should try to attract them to the CRCA.
