Overview of the Syndicalist Federation of Zelenaya Dolina

Zelenaya Dolina (Simplified Kubrovan: Zelenaia Dolina pronounced [zˈɛlənˌe͡ɪə dəlˈiːnə]), or the Syndicalist Federation of Zelenaya Dolina, is a transcontinental country predominantly located in the northern Pacific Ocean and spanning two overseas territories, one in the Antarctic Ocean, which is an island called Nineball Island and a small archipelago still situated in the Pacific Ocean called Ciceros Archipelago. It is a very large country, covering 1,256,499 square kilometers (485,136 sq mi), Zelenaya Dolina borders The Sultanate of Violet, the People's Republic of Nikingxia and the Republic of Alatsia, it also shares narrow maritime boundaries with six countries. It has a population of 88,238,611 citizens and it is mostly concentrated in the southern part of the country, where the largest cities and economic centres are located, such as Vincent, which is where the country's Federal authorities reside (De Facto Capital), Tisinek, Piotrgrad, New port Royal, New Liverpool, Hoshizaki and Topki, but it comprehends many other important cities, Zelenaya Dolina is a Federation that follows syndicalist principles, therefore being a Syndicalist Federation composed of 21 cantons, it has no president nor leader, however, it has a representative. The representative does not have more power than any other politician, but it occupies a seat in the UN Security Council and takes care of diplomatic duties related to Zelenaya Dolina.

Ihabited since the Paleolithic The southern territory of Zelenaya Dolina was settled by Kubrovan tribes during the Iron Age. around 120 and 100 BC all of the Kubrovan tribes formed a single Kingdom named "The Kingdom of Kubrova", they elected a king and they developed a single language: Kubrovan. During the beginning of the 7th century the Kingdom of Kubrova expanded north and reached territories that comprehended today's Tokaj Lake and Harunyan. in 781 the Kingdom of Kubrova declared war on the Empire of Balukistan and came off as victor, gaining most of its modern territories. In 983 The Violets declared war on The Kingdom of Kubrova and won, Kubrova got split in two, the east side was under Violet control while the west Kingdom of Kubrova was independent, In between 983 and 1259 Many wars erupted between the West Kingdom of Kubrova and the Violets, The Kingdom of Kubrova took back most of the Kingdom of East Kubrova while the remaining territories were integrated into the Supreme Sultanate of the Violet. During the late 14th century an expedition of Bulgarians arrived and King Simeon III welcomed them, from then on Kubrova would see a "Golden Age" with a very long period of no wars and no economical issues, until in 1789 a civil war broke up in Priroda, on one side, there were the Priroda's Loyalists who wanted to keep a monarchist state, and on the other side there were the so called "white shirts" who believed in a republic, before that in 1688 Kubrova invaded Priroda after a diplomatic incident and got control of the northern side of the Island, Kubrova fortified the borders during the civil war but everything took a sudden turn when the first of March of 1790 the massacre of Stara Varna happened and Kubrova intervened, King Yaroslav IV stated that the civil war was a "sensless carnage" and that the conflict was too close to the Kingdom of Kubrova and asked for a ceasefire,
Both the White Shirts and Priroda's loyalists tried to invade the northern side of Priroda but lost, And that's when Priroda got fully annexed by Kubrova, as both sides weren't strong enough; Yaroslav back then didn't know that this was the beginning of a series of event that would sign the end of the monarchy in Kubrova.

In 1858 a civil war broke up, on one side there were the so called "Dolinian Democrats" allied with the independence movement of priroda against the Kingdom of Kubrova, but in 1860 the Sultanate of the Violet declared war on all the parties of the war and fully annexed The Kingdom of Kubrova, priroda was safe and became half independent half under the rule of the Dolinian government in exile, situated in Tengbeng (Republic of Alatsia). In 1865 the Sultanate of the Violet created a puppet state known as "The Violet Republic of Kubrova" after 33 years of tyrannic rule, genocides and massacres a new independence movement rose up, and a second and decisive civil war broke up, the leader of the revolution, Piotr Ovcharov really enjoyed the syndicalist studies and principles and dreamed of a syndicalist state, when the democratic president returned in Zelenaya Dolina, he was forced to abdicate and let the syndicalist movement have power, and finally, in 1898 the Free State of Zelenaya Dolina was formed and after years of negotiations and discussions, in 1903, a Syndicalist federation was created, The Syndicalist Federation of Zelenaya Dolina.

From then on Zelenaya Dolina would see a very prosperous, stable and long lasting economic boom the country declared its neutrality during World War I Zelenaya Dolina entered a conflict with the Sultanate of the Violet in 1931, Zelenaya Dolina won and conquered many territories at once, minus one contended territory called "Kustodia" Zelenaya Dolina also declared its neutrality during World War II but its neutrality was violated by the Japanese Empire when in 1943 a Dolinian Civilian ship named "Parodjiya" was attacked and sunk, the Japanese Empire claimed it was a military ship while it was clearly a civilian ship, after the Parodjiya incident the Japanese Empire became extremely more aggressive against Zelenaya Dolina and in 1944 this erupted into an armed conflict, The Imperial Japanese Navy tried to navally invade the island of Priroda but failed, as they were met by heavy gunfire and a fierce resistance, the conflict wouldnt escalate further as Japan Surrendered and signed the "Zelengrad Treaty" where Japan promised to never violate Dolinian waters nor try to invade the country.

During the entirety of the Cold War Zelenaya Dolina declared its neutrality again but (for obvious reasons) leaned more towards the Eastern Bloc and allowed many Soviet citizens to reside in Zelenaya Dolina to experience a much larger degree of freedom.
In 1966 the United States of America tried to get Zelenaya Dolina under their sphere of influence through propaganda, failing in the process, and ultimately, in 1968, around 7 CIA Agents infiltrated in Zelenaya Dolina and tried to stage a coup but failed, 4 of them were executed while the other 3 were released, in that moment tensions rose drastically and the United States of America threatened to invade the country, for 6 long days Zelenaya Dolina blocked any american ship that entered Dolinian waters and this miracolously never ended in a tragedy, lastly, the 9th of May 1968, Zelenaya Dolina and the United States of America signed a treaty where both countries promise to not engage in any armed conflict against each other.

In 2008 Priroda asked for more autonomy and the 28th of April of 2008 they became an autonomus state under Dolinian protection and they officially separated from Zelenaya Dolina the 9th of June of 2008, the two countries enjoy a very friendly relationship, they have signed many economical and military treaties, The currency of Priroda (the Tsvete) is pegged to the Prishil and the two countries have military access on each other's territory and Zelenaya Dolina guarantees the independence of Priroda.
The rapresentative that's currently in charge is married to the King of Priroda (Vincent teliiski Harutyunyan) and is currently also considered the second king of Priroda, despite the fact that Zelenaya Dolina is a Syndicalist state that openly denounces monarchies the strong bond between Zelenaya Dolina and Priroda prevent a possible rivalry or hostilities and allow the current rapresentative to also be the second king of Priroda.

In 2019 Violet troops showed up in Kustodia and demanded the removal of Dolinian troops but Zelenaya Dolina refused, unfortunately that erupted into an armed conflict where Dolinian troops had to retreat, later reinforcements arrived and the Dolinian Army was able to push the Violet forces back; Unfortunately that escalated into a war and the 3rd of December 2019 The Sultanate of the Violet declared war on Zelenaya Dolina.
The Sultanate of the Violet stationed around 650000 men, Zelenaya Dolina replied with around 430000 men, the key difference being in the fact that Zelenaya Dolina had air superiority and recent equipment, while Violet troops used old equipment and relied on old and worn out MiG-19 and MiG-21 to secure air superiority, on ground Violet soldiers had to rely on old AKMs and other old weapons, on top of that Violet officers were incompetent and had poor planning, therefore the numerical advantage of The Sultanate of the Violet didn't impact the outcome of the war at all, Priroda sent volunteers and was later called to help in the war after The Sultanate of the Violet threatened to declare war on Priroda.
4 months after the beginning of the war most of Kustodia was in Dolinian hands and The Sultanate of the Violet lost a seizable portion of their army, only then the king of The Sultanate of the Violet, Al Fassi II Understood that the war was lost and therefore many Violet Generals created a new operation "Operation Maelstrom", their idea was to expand further southwards in the independent island of Krita, knock it out and use it as a possible base to invade Zelenaya Dolina and/or harm Priroda and also try to defeat the Artilagean Republic, nedless to say, that plan clamorously failed.
Violet troops showed up en masse in their occupied zone in Krita and crossed the border, since Krita had its independence guaranteed by both Zelenaya Dolina and the Artilagean Repubic the latter declared war on the Sultanate of the Violet, Violet troops were able to take a seizable part of the island, however gthey weren't able to push further as Artilagean, Dolinian and Kritan troops exploited the mountains present in Krita and were therefore able to stop a possible Violet advance, The Sultanate of the Violet wasn't able to use their occupied side of the island as a base to invade Zelenaya Dolina or priroda and the 17th of June of 2020 The Sultanate of the Violet had to retreat from the island and tried to invade Zelenaya Dolina again as a last effort to turn the tides of the war using their numerical advantage for tactical encirclements, at first the tactic worked and they were able to "free" the northern side of Kustodia but weren't able to push any further and because of organization issues they had to retreat and let Zelenaya Dolina retake Kustodia.
The current date is the 22nd of November 2020, The Sultanate of the Violet is in a stalemate where they lost Kustodia and some more territories, their occupied zone in Krita got freed and a large portion of their army got neutralized and the morale was in an all-time low with most of the troops either Deserting or sometimes even resorting to friendly fire for multiple reasons but the icing of the cake happened the 1st of December of 2020, 1 Dolinian agent and a Prirodian sniper infiltrated in the palace of the king of the Sultanate of the Violet and killed him. The Sultanate of the Violet had to create a provisional government and find a way to end the war as fast as possible, as many rebellion movements were striking, the provisional government was able to sign an armistice in Zelengrad and the points were these:

• The Sultanate of the Violet will hereby cede the province of Kustodia to Zelenaya Dolina and will promise to never try to retake the province in any conceivable way.

• All Violet troops have to retreat from the independent island of Krita.

• If Violet troops retreat from Krita, Dolinian troops shall do the same and give back all the administered territories.

• The Sultanate of the Violet shall install a demilitarized zone around all the territory of Zelenaya Dolina.

• The Sultanate of the Violet shall not have an army with more than 100000 active soldiers and 50000 paramilitary units.

• Because of geopolitical reasons The Sultanate of the Violet shall completely disband their navy.

• Should all the restrictions and conditions be met, The Sultanate of the Violet shall not pay a dime to any of the countries involved in the war.

• All the countries involved in the war shall sign a non aggression pact with The Sultanate of the Violet.

The day of Christmas eve of 2020 Zelenaya Dolina forged a military alliance with Priroda and Krita and called it "The Zagona concordat" named after the city where the treaty was signed, the concordat works pretty much like NATO, the concordat was originally signed by Zelenaya Dolina, Priroda and Krita but later both the Artilagean Republic and Prüdetenland asked to join the concordat and both countries got in, as of now the Kingdom of Cote des perles and Alatsia are observers, note that the military and economical treaties between Zelenaya Dolina and Priroda weren't modified after the signing of the Zagona concordat.

There are many Hypotheses for the origin of the name "Kubrova", the most plausible one is that it means "The salty sea" or "The sea of salt" as many hypothize that in ancient Kubrovan "Kubro" meant salt or salty and "va" means sea or sea of, referring to the copious amount of salt in Dolinian waters, confirmed by the fact that Kubrovans were among the first ones to discover how to extract salt from the sea and used it for commercial purposes.
Unfortunately this is only a hypothesis as most of the words originating from Ancient Kubrovan are unknown even though the entire alphabet is fortunately still known.

On the other hand, Zelenaya Dolina comes from Russian and it means "Green Valley" this name comes from a writer called Dimitri Danilov Yakimenko, he wrote about a utopistic state in Kubrova where all the people live free from Violet oppression and without the tyrannical rule of a monarch, that story inspired Piotr Zamiloneski to actually start a civil war for the independence of Kubrovan people or rather, Dolinian people, as he described the new Kubrova as the green valley of democracy and freedom that Yakimenko described in his book.
