The Federation of Quetesia is a very large, orderly nation, notable for its zero percent divorce rate, prohibition of alcohol, and anti-smoking policies. The compassionate, cynical, devout population of 154 million Quetesians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The large, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Spirituality, Education, and Environment. The average income tax rate is 64.3%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but inefficient Quetesian economy, worth 7.12 trillion Qwerties a year, is led by the Tourism industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Beef-Based Agriculture. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 46,244 Qwerties, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

No-one ever lasts longer than a week on a life support machine, schoolboys trained in chivalry are encouraged to duel other boys for a maiden's hand, weird kids who eat bugs are breaking the law, and census workers struggle to account for the rapidly increasing number of citizens to tabulate. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Quetesia's national animal is the Quetesian Tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Quetesia is ranked 118,193^rd in the world and 4^th in The Allied Nations for Safest, scoring 74.39 on the Bubble-Rapp Safety Rating.
