State of Vistulange
The Republic of Vistulange, colloquially referred to simply as Vistulange, is a country in Northern Aeterna. The nation's capital is Ravnensby, while its largest city is Kongenshavn; its largest urban area is the Ravnensby-Arenråd-Nøkkelheim metropolitan area, located along the Storelv River.
Vistulange is a great power with a developed economy, the largest in its region. It ranks highly on the Human Development Index, but offers little in the way of social security and welfare, causing it to rank higher on the Gini scale with its higher rate of inequality. It is a founding member of the League of Nations and holds a seat in its Security Council.

Vistulange's name derives from the Vistula tribe, which inhabited the region upon which Vistulange sits upon today. The name of the land is a modernised and Anglicised version of their name for their territory, which was seized by Anglo-Norse raiding tribes early in the 9th century BCE. The Vistula tribe then emigrated, or was assimilated into the new Anglo-Norse inhabitants, resulting in the extinction of their language and much of their customs. The name they gave to themselves and to their land remains their only legacy, which has been retained through the centuries to today.
Vistulange covers a total area of 3,449,239 km2, though there are some non-contiguous islands and islets which are also held by the Vistulange. It is the largest country in the world by area.
The coastal plains are covered by deciduous forests, while cooler inland is mostly comprised of grasslands and coniferous forests.
Vistulange is a presidential republic, with Geir Solheim sitting as the President. It has developed a strong division of powers system after the 2003 Velvet Revolution. The legislative body holds all major powers related to spending and taxation in Vistulange, and is chaired by the Speaker of the Storting. The judiciary is nominally independent, but tends to be influenced by the government frequently.
Vistulange is divided into 23 provinces for administrative purposes. These are further subdivided into 273 districts.
