The Republic of AnnaK is a colossal, orderly nation, ruled by The Great Gazo with an iron fist, and renowned for its fear of technology, keen interest in outer space, and complete lack of prisons. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 6.162 billion AnnaKians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The enormous, corrupt, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Industry, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Bedrock. The average income tax rate is 86.7%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient AnnaKian economy, worth 771 trillion Clams a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized black market in Tourism, Uranium Mining, Arms Manufacturing, and Automobile Manufacturing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 125,124 Clams, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.0 times as much as the poorest.

The Great AnnaKian Melting Pot boils out ethnic heritage, politicians who vacation in East Lebatuck lose their jobs upon their return, The Great Gazo's new socialist government gets its policy advice from teenagers, and a bill to outlaw math homework has been submitted. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. AnnaK's national animal is the Triceratops, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

AnnaK is ranked 102,589^th in the world and 2,106^th in The North Pacific for Largest Gambling Industry, scoring 1,711.43 on the Kelly Criterion Productivity Index.
