Summary

The Republic of Western Sol was created in the mid 1600s during a civil war with East solian bay, ruining the unity that once was Sol, resulting in a stalemate that lasted for 350 years, this only ended recently in 1992 during the second solian War.

Western Sol is home to one of the most unique environments in the 10000 islands, with coarse, black sand of volcanic origin, and riverbed made mostly of iron and rust, which dyes the water a murky orange, however, there is no risk from the iron making the drinking water toxic.

Western sol is also one of the main arms supplier of the SMB, usually selling weapons made by HP arms, with our best selling weapon being the base model EMR-B 14, which other nations modify to suit their needs, we also produce the PBE-III , the main heavy weapon of the West Solarian military, and more weapons are on the way.

One of our main cultural icons is the use of our desert sand to make jewellery, because the sand has a near identical chemical structure to obsidian, and it usually is sold in 10000 Islands jewellery and gift stores as an alternative to opal or Ruby, whereas its usually made at home in Western sol, and sold to tourists on vacation

Another one of our main exports is rum, or more specifically, Redleaf Rum, a spiced rum with the added extract of the Mason tree, famous for its red leaves and crimson sap, it dyes the rum red while giving it an almost almond-like flavour.

The average Solarian person’s biology is unique as it has an almost 50/50 genetic makeup of traditional native Solarian and Slavic origin, creating a population of tanned, slender and tall population.

The height of an average solian is 6’3” and usually weighs 180lbs, they are used to hot temperatures and sandy environments, and have an extraordinarily high tolerance to consuming iron and rust, due to the iron rivers

History

recorded Solarian history started around 600 BC, where small towns are depicted of existing around the rivers of Sol, these early civilisations were slightly ahead of their time due to the fact they had irrigation systems reminiscent of modern day ones, drastically improving food harvests and allowing life to flourish.

around 1200 AD, the Guasintian empire (see: Arlandias) invaded the island in a search for territory and resources, and this is what introduced the Slavic component of Solarian DNA, they introduced the natives to more complicated architecture and paved roads, while the natives taught them agriculture techniques.

The Guasintians left the Solarian island in 1278, due to a lack of resources and it being a strain on the empire’s economy, some of the invaders stayed, while most left back to their homelands

in the 1600s, a civil war occurred, dividing east from west, this was permanent up until the second Solarian war in 1992, wherein Western Sol reformed with its full territory, but Kept the name Western Sol because of reasons

In the early 21st century, the fountain of youth was discovered in western sol, drastically increasing all who visited the fountain’s lifespan drastically, ageing 10 years every 700 years.

In the mid 24th century, the first Solarian sentient robot was created, transforming Sol into a hub for robot and human equality
