The Haunted Kingdom of Clamlet is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its state-planned economy, punitive income tax rates, and stringent health and safety legislation. The cynical population of 44.381 billion Clamletians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded, well-organized government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Healthcare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 80.0%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The large but stagnant Clamletian economy, worth 178 trillion clams a year, is driven almost entirely by government activity, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is highly specialized, is mostly made up of the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Door-to-door Insurance Sales and Retail. State-owned companies are the norm. Average income is 4,014 clams, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Clamlet's national animal is the giant clam, which frolics freely in the nation's sparkling oceans.

Clamlet is ranked 1st in the world and 1st in Denmark for Safest, scoring zero on the Bubble-Rapp Safety Rating.
