The United Socialist States of Moledeve is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Premier Robin Collins with an iron fist, and remarkable for its smutty television, anti-smoking policies, and compulsory military service. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 5.384 billion Moledeveans are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The enormous, corrupt, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Administration, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Groß-Neckensdorf. The average income tax rate is 89.8%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Moledevean economy, worth 651 trillion Moledevean Marks a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, quite specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, Information Technology, and Tourism. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 121,009 Moledevean Marks, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The Blue Tit is protected from hunting and slowly coming back from the brink of extinction, gift hampers filled with delicious beef jerky are sent to newly communist nations, old dogs don't have to learn new tricks but they have to prove they haven't forgotten old ones, and hockey players who drop their gloves discard them on abandoned baseball mitts. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Moledeve's national animal is the Blue Tit, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Moledeve is ranked 33,732^nd in the world and 472^nd in The Communist Bloc for Most Scientifically Advanced, scoring 202.62 on the Kurzweil Singularity Index.
