The People's Republic of Salamo is a gargantuan, orderly nation, ruled by Secretary-General Victor with an iron fist, and renowned for its compulsory military service, parental licensing program, and hatred of cheese. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 12.944 billion Salamoans are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Salamo's national animal is the Salmon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to heavy metals seepage into national waterways.
